When I first heard about a product called the Smart Charger, by Energizer – I seriously thought, “Now, isn’t that smart?”. After all, running any household takes batteries {clocks, remotes, etc} – yet throw 3 kids int the mix and you may as well invest in the Energizer company!
Most toys take batteries, and it seems that on any given day – one set needs replacing. I have a kitchen bin, always full of batteries – on hand for when a child of mine throws a ‘dead’ toy at me. Yet sometimes, low batteries or dead batteries themselves are thrown into the mix – and I never know which ones are the best to use.
This is why I love the idea behind the Energizer Smart Charger. It has some great features that solves all my problem listed above:
- Countdown timer shows how long until batteries are charged
- Battery Fuel Guage shows charge status
- Bad Battery Alert detects alerts and shuts off charging when a non-NiMH or old NiMH battery is inserted
- Large visual display can be viewed from across the room
- Charges 2 or 4 AA or AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries
- Charges batteries at a safe, steady rate which improves the long-term health of the NiMH battery
- For approximate charge times, download the user manual.
- Energy Star® certified
This way, you know exactly how long until the batteries are charged. Pretty smart, right?
