LunchSkins Sandwich Bags

Did you know that more than 20 million plastic lunch sandwich bags
go into landfills in the US alone, Every.Single.Day

Now, Couple this with all the other countries in the world, that is an astounding amount of waste! Now, just think – if we could replace those plastic sandwich bags, with something just as convenient – imagine the difference that would make, with LunchSkins!!

Kirsten Quigley, Cristina Bourelly and Jennie Stoller Baraket are 3 friends and Moms who collectively have 9 kids. When they discovered this landfill fact regarding lunch sandwich bags, reality hit and they became determined to help reduce this needless waste. They soon discovered a high-quality European fabric used by patisseries and bakeries. The fabric is also independently tested and certified lead, BPA and phthalate free. Since this fabric withstands high heat dishwasher, washing machines and dryer – they knew that this fabric was the perfect replacement for plastic sandwich bags – and thus the 3GreenMoms company and LunchSkins was born.

Featured in Oprah’s Magazine, LunchSkins are just as easy and convenient to use as plastic sandwich bags. Instead of tossing them in the garbage, you just toss them in the wash {laundry or with the dishes}. We got the pink LunchSkins Sandwich Bag from the Bud Logo Series. Considering I have all girls in this house, I thought it would be the perfect design to suit them all. But, keep in mind there are dozens of other colors and designs {as well as smaller snack bag and larger sub bag sizes}!
The LunchSkins Sandwich Bag is just the right size for a sandwich, with a fold over flap and a sturdy Velcro closure. And, just like advertised, the bag does wash and use perfectly and is entirely food-safe! And, the LunchSkins fabric and design prevents grease and mess from leaking through the bag. One other advantage of using LunchSkins Sandwich Bags is that there is form to this bag, so it also lessens the likelihood of sandwiches getting squished too. Bonus!

Protecting our environment and giving back is top priority to the 3GreenMoms, so a percentage of ever sale goes to organizations. You can help reduce waste in our landfills by switching from plastic lunch sandwich bags to LunchSkins. And, you can go one step farther by having a school fundraiser too! LunchSkins can be customized with school logos, with percentages of sales going back to the school! How’s that for school spirit and eco-friendliness!
