BedHead Pajamas

The story of how BedHead Pajamas came to be makes me chuckle: Renee Claire, the founder and owner of the company, grew up in a small town in southern Ontario, sewing clothes for herself during the cold winters. Her choices in colors, patterns and fabrics were inspired by her dreams of leaving the cold behind and living a life in warm California. I laugh because this is my daydream too, well – without the sewing, though. But I can certainly relate. Renee took matters into her own hands after college, and headed to Los Angeles and started designing sophisticated and trendy pajamas. Why sleepwear, you ask? They are often the one garment that lack shape and style, yet we depend on them so much – so why shouldn’t they show class with comfort!

Today, BedHead Pajamas are sold in over 1,500 boutiques worldwide, ranging from Neiman Marcus to the BedHead store in West Hollywood. Now, I’d call that one successful dream!
BedHead Pajamas send me and my daughter a matching pair of Fine Cotton Hot Pink Wild at Heart Pajamas. When my daughter seen them, she was wild with excitement. She Ooo’ed and Awe’ed a ton, loving the bright colors. Kids’ pajama sizes run tight, so that they aren’t a fir hazard. My daughter takes a size 2, and her pair of BedHead Pajamas is a size 2/3 and does fit tight. The Hot Pink Wild at Heart w/Lace Kids PJ’s are longer in length, yet is a narrower cut. But, the material is also very stretchy, so it should fit for a while. For my PJ’s, I ordered one size larger than I normally wear, and they were really loose. Not falling-off big, but a very loose pajama. These shrank a bit in the wash, which was nice. Now they fit perfectly! The top on my Hot Pink Wild at Heart Sateen PJ’s is a button up kind, with a front left pocket. And, they are so comfortable! The colors of this pattern is so colorful and vibrant, the photos on the website really don’t do them justice. Plus, matching with my daughter is just so cute!

There are so many designs at BedHead Pajamas, ones for all members of the family. And, Renee designs the majority of the prints, so you won’t see them used in other pajama lines. As well, you can purchase robes, bedding, and more from BedHead Pajamas!

I love these pajamas, as a cancer survivor I was looking for something to sleep in that was comfortable. I found these first on Gilt then in other stores. I now have five pairs. When I was in pain I would just look down at my plain grey PJ’s with the lace down the front and it made me feel pretty. But the way they feel on your body is like a warm hug and after many, many breast surgeries these gave me comfort and joy.
