Harumika Style Kit

www.myorganizedchaos.net,Parents, mark down Harumika Style Kits, as I predict this new toy will be one of the most asked-for products when it comes to Birthdays and Christmas Lists this year. Am I really talking about Christmas shopping? Yes, I am – you should be prepared early – it’ll save you sanity and money, I guarantee! Like I was saying, my daughter received a Harumika Style Starter Kit for review, and I can honestly say that she is having an absolute blast with it. Let me explain…

Harumika is a new fashion toy that gives girls {some of her boy-friends tried it, and love it too} a chance to design their own fashion lines. When I got asked to review this product, I knew instantly that my daughter would love it. She loves dolls, fashion, clothes, style and design – and this product contains all that and more! We got the Harumika Style Starter Kit, which comes with a formed figure with stand, style stick, fabric pieces and many stickers and accessories.

There is no glue or sewing required, as the back of the form has a space in which to push the fabric into. My daughter needed no instruction, she took to this kit like it was made for her. The first day she played with it {the day we returned from Mexico}, she created dozens and dozens of outfits. And, she has been playing with it daily, since then. Yet what I didn’t expect, was her natural talent for her creations. At 5, she doesn’t just drape a piece of fabric in any fashion and call it a design, she really gets creative in her styles. A-line dresses, gowns, tanks with minis, off the shoulder tops with long skirts – Harumika has really sparked a HUGE fashion skill in her that I didn’t know existed. She is dabbling in complementary fabric patterns and contrast prints. I’m hearing her describe her designs in phrases such as, ‘over sized belts’, ’empire waists’ and ‘gathered hems’…..who knew?www.myorganizedchaos.net,

Harumika has not only expanded her creativity, imagination, and ability to accessorize very well – it taught me a few things as well. For one, maybe I should be consulting her on my own fashion choices. And also – she may very well grow up to be a fashion designer!!

The possibilities are endless with Harumika, as there is so much more than the Style Starter Kit that I received. There are many accessory kits and sets in this diverse line. Check out the Harumika website and see all that is available! Prices range from $5.99 and up.

Also note, kids can share their own styles online, by uploading photos of their favorite designs to their own “Look Book” at the Harumika website. Display designs in a virtual “Fashion Boutique”, and show off the looks by participating in online fashion runway shows! Very Cool indeed!

Disclosure: I was provided with product to facilitate this review post, opinions are my own.

  1. These are so cool! I love the idea that kid can design their own clothes and don’t have to deal with little bitty Barbie clothes LOL.

    Great review – thanks!

  2. Those are awesome! I used to make my own barbie clothes here and there when I was a kid and these would have been awesome to have! Most of my stuff had big ole buttons of them to make it easy to take on and off rofl! I so wish I had a girl now. Maybe I’ll just have to start playing with barbies again 😉

  3. I seriously think that each and every one of my 8 nieces would have a BALL with that. So cool! That’d be a huge hit for Christmastime.

  4. My daughter has already been asking for this and she is 16. It’s definitely something creative for our kids (or us) to do and have fun.
