The Sweet Lemon Collection from The Body Shop. Freshly picked for the new Spring Season, this bath and body range offers a line-up of 6 products that cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize the skin while lifting the spirits with a clean, citrus scent. I was able to review a few of products in the Sweet Lemon range, and if you think that your face will pucker at the scent of lemon, think again. The Sweet Lemon range smells, well, like sweet Lemons to be exact. It’s a lovely scent that makes me think of fresh Spring mornings, which is why it’s ideal for the Spring season.
Lemon seeds would ordinarily go to waste, yet the oil is squeezed out of the seeds from Lemons growing along the Italian Riviera. These seeds provide a moisturizing goodness for your skin, the Antioxident-rich lemon seed oil is also high in Vitamin C and packs a punch in moisturizers. The other Community Trade ingredients include cocoa butter, shea butter, Brazil Nut Oil and honey from organic sources.
It is said that this range is perfect for normal to dry skin, the Sweet Lemon range has been a nice start to my morning routine. The Shower Gel is soap-free and non-drying. It lathers well and leaves the skin smooth and supple. For those that prefer the bar soap in the shower, or like a clean scented soap next to sink – the Sweet Lemon Bar soap is a good choice for the new season. Like all of The Body Shop soaps, it’s made with sustainably sourced palm oil from Columbia. It also contains organically grown soya oil to help restore moisture – which is great for use on the hands or very dry skin. To finish off your routine, use the Sweet Lemon Body Butter, which delivers up to 24 hours of moisturisation. I like the way it hydrates the skin and leaves a fresh lemon fragrance.
