Stride Rite, Keds Shoe Review

I applaud a company like the The Stride Rite Children’s Group. They make it their mission to ensure that their footwear is rigorously tested and precisely fitting, so that only the best in shoes for kids, is produced. Thanks to Stride Rite, my daughter was able to review a pair of Keds shoes. Remember Keds? I had a white pair growing up, and they were my favorite – boy, have the designs come a long way since…oh, well – we need not go into the specific years!

The style of shoe she received is the Keds Anthem MJ, a blend of blue, green and white. What will stood out to me most is the dash of silver and sequin detailing which immediately pleased my little diva. And, since she has a definite fondness for all things pink and would normally make a face at a *gasp* non-pink shoe, it’s this punch of bling that made her fall in love with these shoes. The Anthem MJ is a definite personality-shoe. My daughter is able to slip it on and off with ease, yet the strapping makes it fit secure and safe. Speaking of which, Stride Rite offers many sizing options to ensure a perfect fit. I chose one size smaller than usual, yet in a Wide Width. Sure enough, the shoe fits perfectly, with only a little bit of extra room in the toe. My daughter will be able to wear this pair of Keds well into the summer months. Alas, I learned that I was always purchasing her the wrong size of footwear, trying to accommodate in length when I should have been opting for in width. I notice that she is much more comfortable in this pair of shoes, and know that a decent fit makes all the difference
with anyone.

Check out Stride Rite, and prepare to be surprised at the many brands that you will see. From babies and beyond, there is am amazing selection of quality shoes available. Yet, keep in mind that Stride Rite is currently not available in Canada {I know, I can hear the collective moan!}, yet *fingers crossed* that this will
change in the near future!
