OralB Stages, Kids and Oral Health

With my oldest daughter, I never had an issue with proper dental care and oral health. She always had the best attitude and considered oral hygiene fun, and I owe that to OralB. Since kids don’t fully comprehend the importance of developing good oral care habits, it’s up to the adults to make jobs like this fun and kid-friendly. And, OralB did a fabulous job when they developed the products in OralB Stages.

Stage 1

~ Designed for infants and toddlers from 0-24 months.
~ The Stage 1 toothbrushes feature Baby Einstein Characters and soft bristles. The head is able to cover large surfaces {cause we all know they won’t sit for long!}. The ends of the bristles have soft bumpers on them as well, to protect tender gums. The handle is designed for parental help for maximum control.
~ The fluoride-free non-foaming tooth and gum cleaner is intended for 4-24 months lightly sweetened and gets kids used to the idea of using toothpaste.

Stage 2

~ For 2-4 year olds, the toothbrushes feature Winnie the Pooh and My Friends Tigger and Pooh. Stage 2 toothbrushes are made for little hands since they need to be independent at this stage. The Power Tip bristles get back into the hardest areas to reach and the head is narrow – all to accommodate their limited dexterity.
~ kid need to use just a pea-sized amount of the Stage 2 toothpaste. It has anti-cavity fluoride with a mild gel formula {which has kids’ approval when it comes to taste}.

Stage 3

~ Designed for 5-7 year olds, these toothbrushes feature Disney Princesses and Disney/Pixar CARS. Also, there are choices in handle colors as well, since kids like more choices at this age! Stage 3 toothbrushes also feature the Power Tip, so that kids can reach all their teeth. It has a larger handle appropriate for the age.
~ The Stage 3 toothpaste have the same character choices as the toothbrushes.

Stage 4

~ For 8 year and up, Stage 4 toothbrushes are just like Mom and Dad’s toothbrushes, yet they have special CrissCross bristles to reach between those gaps left from losing baby teeth and growing adult teeth.

And, to complete dental heath, there’s the OralB Satin Floss. This silky ribbon provides a great clean as well as protects your fingers from discomfort. Use in combination with toothbrushing to
prevent cavities and gingivitis.

There is just something about a special and cool toothbrush that made my daughter love the task. From Baby Eintein characters to Disney Princess – she may not yet fully understand the importance of oral heath, yet she loves taking care of her teeth.
And as a Mom, I can’t complain at all!
