Since my daughter was very young, she has always had a love for all things ‘crafts’. Like most kids, she truly enjoys the fun and accomplishment of creating her own masterpieces. And why wouldn’t I encourage it? After all, thinking creatively keeps her happy, smiling and very entertained. Creativity For Kids is a company that has been around for almost 35 years. Stemming from Ohio, it’s distribution of craft kits reaches kids imaginations
in more than 35 countries.
After Isabelle finished her last day of school before Christmas break, boredom settled in very quickly. This Mom was extremely tempted to break out just one of her Christmas presents. Yet, thanks to Creativity For Kids, she received a do-it-herself project in the mail. She got the Holiday Memories Ornament Frames, a perfect kit for use during the holiday season.
Included in the kit was:
* 4 assorted wooden ornament frames w/attached wire
* assorted beads and gemstones
* 6 colors of glitter
* craft glue
* paint brush
* “designed by” stickers
She had so much fun decorating her frames and adding the embellishments. And, she also made a few of them for other people, creating a wonderful keepsake ornament for them to have always. Since this kit comes with 6 containers of loose glitter, it was a definate change from the usual glitter-glue that we were accustomed to having. It did make more of a mess than I would have liked, yet this enabled her to mix colors of glitter in order to truly personalize it. This craft also sparked more ideas after the kit was done – she soon gathered her own make-shift materials and made more ornaments as well, using up all the left over glitter and glue.
Creativity For Kids products can be purchased on the website, and in select stores. Myself, I seen a nice selection at my local Chapters! There are kits for all ages and interests – and they are very reasonably priced as well.
Kids + Crafts = a hit.
And, when everything needed is included in one box, it’s saves scrounging up ideas and supplies on our own!
