The Body Shop Love Etc.

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 30 years, you’ll need no formal introduction to the The Body Shop. I say this because there is in fact, over 2,500 stores in over 55 countries worldwide {plus online shopping}. So chances are great that you either recognize the product or know it as well as your own kids’ names. For myself, I have been a regular customer since I was a teen, and always thought of The Body Shop when looking for a nice basket for gifting.

One of the newest products to call The Body Shop home is the Love Etc. line. The products include lotion, body wash and perfume. The Love Etc moisturizer comes in a pump container which sits nicely on my bathroom counter. I have always liked the moisturizers from The Body Shop for their nice consistency, texture and it’s effectiveness in hydrating the skin. The body wash is wonderful to use, again I have used them for years. What makes these different than any other lotion or body wash out there IS the scent. To me it’s certainly not one of my usual scented lotions and body washes.

At first whiff, Love Etc smelled almost familiar to me {key notes are Jasmin, vanilla and sandalwood}. My nose is not an expert yet to me, the smell is much like the perfume called Cool Water. It is one of my top favorite perfumes of all time, I wore this scent for close to 10 years. And, this resemblance I thought was odd because lotions are usually scented, but so closely matched to designer perfumes! I was confused until I did some research on the development
of the Love Etc line…

For the Love Etc line, The Body Shop teamed up with one of the finest fragrance noses in the world, perfumer Dominique Ropion. He has over 25 years of experience, having been the mastermind behind scents from Cacharel, Givenchy and Calvin Klein to name a few. Specific fragrances that he has developed include Armani Code, Lovely,
Dune, Very Irrisistable and Amarige. Three of those four fragrances alone, I currently have. No wonder I love the scent of the Love Etc line!

And, standing behind the mission, the Love Etc Eau de Parfum is the first to include Community Trade alcohol made from organic sugar cane. It’s both fairly-traded and organically-sourced from organic sugar cane farmers in Ecuador. It comes in a 100% recyclable glass bottle, the box is created from FSC material.

Don’t let the girly-heart packaging fool you into thinking that this is just your average floral-scented product. The Love Etc. line is made by mixing a designers scent with a eco-friendly and world-renowned bath and body care company. The result is pure genius and much like the name, I think I am love!
The products in the Love Etc line are sold separately and in gift sets. With such a luxurious scent and quality product, coupled with a great price make this more than appealing
when it comes to gifting!
