Reviews & Giveaways

The Kalencom Corporation is a company from New Orleans that has been around since 1971. The store carries a few different products, yet, it’s their diaper bags that have given them such a big name in the industry. With over 35 styles and even more designs to choose from, Kalencom gives you over 200 diaper bag options. The thing that impresses me the most about Kalencom bags is that they don’t look like your run-of-the-mill diaper bags. These bags blur the line between diaper bag and just one really hot accessory, making it both fashionable and practical. Because really, why can’t we Moms have both?
Yes we can, I say!

For review, I picked a Week-Ender Bag and I was not disappointed at all with my choice. The first thing I noticed was the fabulous design. There are 18 color choices in both patterned and solids for this style of bag, from classic to bold and bright. I chose the black canvas bag, with a brown trim and stitching on it. The outside features a pocket for storage on both sides, including a stylish decorative buckle. The zippered top opens to a large interior, with 5 inside pockets that are great at keeping things nicely separated.

Also included with the Week-Ender Bag:

  • An Insulated bottle bag that is great for a bottle,
sippy cup or even your own water bottle. Whether it be for myself, or the kids – having at least one bottle of water on hand at all times is necessary.
  • A large sized fold-out padded changing pad. I really like
the size of this pad, making it usable
for longer than just a tiny baby
{I have noticed that others are too small to use for very long}.
  • A separate zippered pouch that can be used for diapers, creams, toiletries, utensils…
or whatever you’d like to keep all in one place.

Since it has long and thick shoulder straps, this bag is extremely comfortable to carry. This Week-Ender Bag is made of canvas, so it’s easy to wipe clean and gives it flexibility. I have come to notice that many of my other diaper bags are too stiff. This makes it difficult to open and see exactly what’s in there. This isn’t the case with this Kalencom Bag, and this just adds to the comfort and ease of use.
Most importantly, it’s the size of the Week-Ender that I have come to appreciate. As a Mom of Multiples, this bag holds everything I need. I am even able to add Isabelle’s dance shoes and tutu to it as well.
And like I said, it doesn’t look like a diaper bag. You know this is true when you are stopped by a woman without children, complimenting you on your bag
{which is what happened to me}.
She was very surprised that it was labeled as a ‘diaper bag’.
I plan on using this versatile Kalencom bag for a long time, even after I have to carry around all the baby equipment.
In fact, I have already decided to use it as a carry-on for my next vacation!

Kalencom also realizes the need to provide safe and Eco-friendly bags. Theirs is AZO and Phthalate free.
Take note, I chose this Week-Ender bag because of it’s larger size, a necessity when you have multiples. If a larger-sized bag just isn’t your style, Kalencom has it covered. I cannot stress enough just how many styles they have! In fact, if you are one of those Mommas that have just one older child and you only need a bag that’s able to store a juice box, a baggie of crackers and 2 dinky cars, not only am I jealous – but you need to check out their adorable and fashionable smaller Bags. And you guessed it, if you like a backpack style or sling style messenger bag…look to Kalencom!
