Random Signs of Spring

spring at dusk

This week truly felt like the first days of Spring, it's been a beautiful 15 °C! We haven't seen a nice day like this since late September, so it's been a long Winter to say the least. So, what does one do when it's finally nice enough to ditch that Winter coat? Enjoy it, of course! Yet, this nice weather also means a lot of melting. Water everywhere! So obviously, since I'm one of those last minute 'planners', … [Read more...]

The Messes Twins Make

There's two to wash, There's two to dry; There's two who argue, There's two who cry. One's in the mud, Having a ball; The other holds a crayon... Another marked wall. Some days seem endless, My patience grows thin. Why did God choose me To be a mother of twins? The answer comes clear- At the end of the day, As I tuck them in bed And to myself I say... There's two to kiss, There's two to … [Read more...]

Get Outside and Play!

Finally! Finally we have a break from the freezing weather and I can say those words I love to speak ... "Get outside and play!".     In no way do I believe that Spring it on it's way, yet this break in weather sure makes a person think it is. Back and forth, back and forth - like taking off a bandaid slowly. Just get on with it already, rip it off and bring on the next season! … [Read more...]

The other day I took the twins to a brief doctors appt and snapped a photo with my phone. I then realized that I took a similar photo in 2011, only they were wearing gowns. Flashback!     Let's take a minute to celebrate the technological advancements in phone cameras, the general look of our doctors offices and the improvement in my own shutter skills {what up 2011?!}. The twins? … [Read more...]

Bubble Love

Ahhh, Summer is finally here! It's nice to be outside with camera again, without freezing the fingers off or seeing the same Winter coat in each and every photo, for months. Sharing random shots of the twins playing outside, I took hundreds of photos just from this short time span. Are you more of a b&w photo person, or a colored photo person? Milestones in Speech and Language

As a parent, I thought of milestones more often when my kids were younger. Things like learning to walk, eat solid foods or their first laugh; those little stepping stones in growth were highly celebrated. Thing is, growth doesn't stop, no matter how old your child is. Celebrations are at every turn. Our January and the start of 2013 came with new adventures and possibilities for my children. We have been … [Read more...]

Watching and Waiting

Recently the kids and I went bowling, the first time for my twins. All was good, they loved it. Yet, the twins couldn't throw oops, I mean roll the ball hard enough to make it to the pins in a timely manner. Actually, they both ended up sitting down and watching it roll down the alley, waiting for it to reach the end. Sometimes it took forever! Yet, it was adorable!! . . … [Read more...]

Little Ballerinas

My twin girls just started Ballet classes, and they love it! Seeing a group of 4 years olds in little tutus is something that always makes me smile. Over the weekend I also took the girls to see The Nutcracker Ballet, to which the twins thought they were the ones putting on the show. They were glued to the entire performance, I do believe I have little ballerinas on my hands! . . … [Read more...]
