Learn Spanish with the En Mi Casa CD from Sing-A-Lingo

My daughter has always shown an interest in learning Spanish {mostly from exposure to some kids’ TV programs}. This interest expanded when we discovered that her school was bilingual {English/Spanish}, and even more when we went to Mexico recently. Personally, I would love her to learn Spanish {actually, I have always wanted to} and will supply her with the support and means to follow her interests. Sing-A-Lingo uses music to teach kids Spanish, and we received the En Mi Casa CD for review. So of course, we were all too eager to test this CD out in our house! Piña [...]

Halloween Carols CD, A Broom With A View

I have to admit, when I thought about a Halloween CD that was being shipped to me for a review, I imagined a very scary and spooky CD that would scare the daylights out of the kids. Yet, when I received Halloween Carols CD, by Kristin Lawrence – I was very surprised. This very talented organist/composer/singer created a historically-based Halloween composition in the format of Christmas carols. Her voice is indeed beautiful and the instruments reflect perfectly. Through history and folk lore story telling, Kristin has captured an enchanting way to celebrate Halloween and the entire season. We recieved 2 [...]

CribRock ~ Review & Giveaway (CLOSED)

There’s nothing worse than getting out of the car and humming ‘The Wheels On The Bus’ while you walk through a store. I have done this so many times, and have stopped in mid tracks and thought, “Oh, what have I become!” (Likewise, my daughter was singing Christmas carols yesterday. I just shook my head) CribRock takes parents’ favorite songs and transformed them into kid-friendly instrumental songs. There are 2 CD’s that CribRock offers, ‘St Elmo’s Pacifier’, which features top songs of the 80′s. The other CD, ‘Full Metal Diaper’ includes hard rock classics, also in instrumental form.
