Lays Chip Trips | The Calgary Zoo

July 29, 2010

Our family has collected our Lay’s Chip Trip points, from bags of Lay’s potato chips. On the Lay’s Chip Trips website, you can redeem those points for savings on entertainment, attractions and for food – all across Canada. We recently made a trip to the Calgary Zoo {Alberta}, and yes, there is a coupon for 50% off admission to the Calgary Zoo {up to a family of 4}. That’s a huge savings! The Calgary Zoo is a place we visit every year, yet this year they have some new features at the Zoo. They now have Dinosaurs Alive in their [...]

According to a Mom Central poll of 1300 Moms, 66% of them plan on staying at a hotel this summer. This statistic I can relate to, as I know I prefer the space and convenience of staying a hotel, versus staying with a friend or relative. And, couple an affordable price with the fact that we get a break from household duties – I’m always game to stay in a hotel! Once you choose a travel destination, the next question is always, “Where do we stay??” Residence Inn by Marriott has renovated some of their suites to meet the needs [...]

Since most of this entire year {and a little of last year} was filled with planning our trip to Mexico, staying at the Barcelo Mayan Palace, and crying over coming home to the chilly weather here in Western Canada – I thought I’d share more about our experience {and pictures} from our {2 week} family trip to Mexico. You know, try to get it out of my system and stop thinking about Paradise already! {…is that possible?}. Transportation: Flying with Twin Toddlers and a 5 year old, with Air Canada Vacations was actually not too bad. The Twins sat on [...]

We just returned from 2 glorious weeks in the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. It was the first time we had traveled with the kids, and the first time that the Twin Toddlers were away from home for the night. Many preparations and plans were done in the months before departure. I am an organized Mom by nature, so you can imagine that this adventure was a huge undertaking for myself – and a huge success at that, I must add! Yippee! The girls loved everything about the trip, especially being able to play outdoors in the sun. Our cold Canadian [...]

I have everything packed but Hubby’s clothes, toiletries, cameras {yes that is a ‘s’, I love my photos!}, favorite Teddy Bears for the girls and a few items [...]
