Month In Photos: February 2014
February 2014 could be best described as bitterly cold. There were just a few nice days that allowed for outdoor play. Yet for the most part, indoors we stayed. Month In Photos: February 2014
Of course there was another *fantastic* cheer competition for my oldest and we certainly can’t forget Valentine’s Day 2014. This year, the candy that the kids were given really competed with Halloween. As we move into March, I’d really like to see this candy disappear from the pantry. The temptation is just too much!
Miss Isabelle has been a reading-machine this month, averaging a book every 4 days. Sometimes I think she mainly likes the quiet refuge from her twin sisters, and for that, I can’t blame her. The twins really look up to Belle, following and imitating her every move. She’s very patient with them for the most part yet sometimes she needs to escape.
So, Isabelle is often found hiding in her room, behind her bed netting, cuddled up and immersed in the written word. This makes me think of myself at her age, I really do think that the librarians saw me more than my parents.
Speaking of, this tulle net was a present from one of Isabelle’s best friends. She brought it back for Isabelle, from her month-long trip to Cambodia. Unlike other nets I’ve seen, this one is massive! The top hoop alone almost spans the entire bed.
I hope your February was a great one, and all the best for March 2014!

I think the greatest gift we can give to our children is the love to read. I think it sounds like she has found the perfect place to read.
I so agree Grace! I love that she falls deep into a book.
I’m having a hard time believing that March is here already! It looks like your February was full of fun and love – here’s to the same in March!
Thank you Emily! We have lots of days off school in March so hopefully the weather is nice and we can ‘do’ something!
Wow that tulle netting is amazing! I would have loved a fun “hiding” spot when I was younger! And I love this idea of once a month photo collages – I wonder if I can play catch up and post a Jan and Feb this month. 🙂
You should!! It takes very little time!
I hope you have a great March! I should go through and find my favorite February photos too!
You should Jenn, I love making these. While I like and used to do more photo books, I couldn’t keep up. This is easier and still a great way of gathering those photos for an album.
very nice love seeing each month how they have changed
Thanks Chandra! 🙂
My 7 year old has been reading like crazy too. Every second I see him he has a book in his hand.
That is so nice, seeing a child with a book always makes me smile!
How beautiful! I love your photos! That was where I could be found growing up too, curled up with a good book! It’s still my favorite thing to do when I get a spare moment.
Thank you Linette! I was up a bit late last night reading, I know what you mean!
We live in Chicago, so February was bitterly cold here too! We’re getting ready for a big 10 hour move, so it’s been a lot of packing and change, as well. March 2014 is going to be a busy, crazy, GREAT month!
I didn’t know you were moving Dominique! Please tell me you are moving South!! lol
Beautiful pics and precious girls. Yes, it’s been way too cold! Cannot wait to spend more time outdoors!
Me too!!
Beautiful pictures, her eyes are gorgeous!
Thank you! 🙂
These photos are great! What a cutie!!
Thank you! 🙂
I had a similar netting in my bedroom until I was married! Loved it. 🙂
I think I must have as well. Belle had one over her crib as an infant, and here we are again! lol
Beautiful photos 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
You sure are blessed with these beautiful children
Thank you Kathy! 🙂

Thank you!

Thank you Nicole!
Such beautiful photos. I love pictures so I love posts like these.
Thank you Debi!! 🙂
Beautiful photos, Tammi! Your girls are adorable! I love this idea – I may have to try this myself. I so often don’t have time to post regular photos of my family on the blog, but a once-a-month post is definitely do-able.
Love the collage of photos!!!
Thanks Kari!
Love the one of her reading, reminds me so much of myself as a child
