Piling on the Chaos

Since life in the house of chaos wasn’t busy enough, I just had to add another activity {twice a week} into the mix.

The Twins starting taking swimming lessons again! It’s been a couple years since they have been in actual classes, even though they swim often with us and on vacations.

The girls do enjoy their time in the pool yet with Cheerleading {three times a week + competitions}, Guides and Sparks – I’m all over the place with these three kids!

Maybe being this busy will make the Winter pass quicker?

Right? … RIGHT?!

Also – I love when spontaneous photos turn out so great, see the heart?

  1. How do you do it?! I keep the extra curriculars to only on the weekends because I find homework/dinner/afterschool too crazy to get everyone out.

    1. I time manage and plan ahead a lot. I try and keep weekends open, yet lately with the competitions even that isn’t going so well. I’m either really going to love the lazy Summer days or I won’t know what to do with myself. Go go go!! lol

  2. I remember those days, gymnastics, competitions, traveling, swimming, competitons, traveling cheerleading, competitions traveling lol

  3. Thankfully our daughter decided she wanted to try out judo like her older brother so they go on the same nights. And her weekend gymnastics ends this month. I was aiming for getting them both in swim lessons for weekends but the spots filled up by the time I went on.

    1. They fill up so fast! I made a quick decision when I enrolled them, purely based on ‘wow, there’s actually spots!!’. Then, afterward I pouted a little. lol
The things we do for our kids!!! 😉

    1. No wonder I get so restless when there’s really nothing ‘to do’, I have a really hard time relaxing now. Hmmm, something to think about …

that is a wonderful photo for the memory album! My mother always said, if you want something done, ask a busy person; if you want something done well, do it yourself. Methinks you cover both of these!! YAM xx

    1. Awe, that is a great saying. Thank you, I have to agree on that. Go big or go home!! 😉
Have a great rest of the week!
      🙂

  5. Ahh such beauties! My little one is only 3 1/2 so we’ve been doing various lessons for a while but so far we’ve been able to keep it down to one activity at a time. I’m sure that will change…..

    1. Up until this year we were a 1 activity per kid family, but then it all changed. It’s definitely something to get used to!

  6. Wow I’m glad those days are behind for me now my kids are grown – too busy! Cute pic.

  7. You definitely are busy! And here I moan and groan about dance once a week… LOL. I’ve got nothing on you!
Speaking of swimming though, I MUST remember to enroll my daughter the next time registration opens. I must. I must.

    1. I have to admit, when Sparks was cancelled for this week, I did a little dance. lol
      🙂

  8. Great to hear that they have resumed swimming. My youngest recently just started her swimming lesson.. and I hope that she is enjoying her time in the pool.

    1. You can try and try sometimes and come up with ‘meh’ shots, but then when you least expect … love that!
      🙂

  9. Wow, That aquatic centre looks amazing! Of course not nearly as cute as your twins. Love their pose! My triplets began their first swimming lesson last Saturday. It was a success for two thirds of the party.

    1. Ahhh triplets! You blessed mama you! Thank you and it’s a good pool, close to the house as well. Bonus!

  10. Gorgeous girls , a mother of twins is always busy but at least we can sometimes have 2 at the same activity at the same time (I have 7yr old twin boys)

    1. Ahhh, for now. My girls have been asking to go in different things now, different interests what!?!? Oh boy, I need another me!!

  11. So busy! right now we are on school holidays here in Australia, so I’m loving a break from the activities and schedules that seem to rule our lives during school terms! Swimming is one of those things that is so important though, so good for you for fitting it in! 🙂 Popping by from Wordless Wednesday.

  12. Yes all the activities can wear you out and make you run crazy but you know if more parents got their children into activities and spent more time with them, we might not have so many juveniles in trouble! You are a great mom! Thanks for always sharing something special, Jessica

  13. It is really busy now, but they will grow away soon enough! Enjoy all that you can while they are home still and be thankful that they (and you) have the abilities and opportunities to partake in all that you do! 🙂

  14. Reminds me of when my older girls were little – gymnastics, sparks, swimming – I haven’t put my younger two in anything yet – but I’m looking forward to the spring to put them in some activities before my youngest starts JK.
