Walt Disney World Here We Come! #DisneyHaunt
It was our first time at Disney Parks as a family and we were browsing in the World Of Disney Store, in Downtown Disney. We’d just had a long day in the parks, the kids tired yet excited to be looking around in this amazing shop.
Out of literally nowhere, the Fairy Godmother herself walks right in front of my kids, Isabelle standing next to the twins whom were in the double stroller.
She smiled at my children, as they looked up at her with astonishment. In the gentlest voice ever she said,
Bippity boppity boo. May ALL your dreams come true!
She waved her wand in the air and sparkles came floating down from her wand, resting on my girls like a million twinkling kisses.
Up until that point, my mouth hung open, in shock at her surprise visit. Then, instantly my body trembled and I burst into tears. It was such a beautiful moment, her pure blessings for my kids to have wonderful lives, touched my heart in no way I could explain.
Sobbing uncontrollably I looked over at my husband and the look on his face was one of surprise as well. I could see that tears were running down his face too, something of which we hardly, ever see.
THAT my friends, is the magic of Disney.
We are happy to share the news that our family is going to Walt Disney World tomorrow!
The experience will no doubt bring tears to my eyes and the biggest smile to my face. While I wanted to tell the girls at the very last minute, I just couldn’t hold it in any longer.
The girls are so excited, and desperately want to beeline to New Fantasyland first, a new expansion to Magic Kingdom which they were still building last time we were there. They were so curious as they peeked over the walls while there, and since finished have most likely YouTubed and Googled everything there is about the new addition. Watch out The Enchanted Forest, you’ll be seeing us first!
So, What else is new at Walt Disney World this time of year?
Halloween at Disney!
Last year when we were at Disneyland, the park was magically transformed into the Halloween season, literally overnight.
After having spent a few days at the parks, we walked in one morning to discover that Halloween had literally exploded all over. It was astounding and very beautifulYet, our Halloween experience was limited as it was our last day. Since then I had frequently said how much I’d love to have the full Halloween at Disney experience.
The time is now.
Highlights of this trip is attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, an event where ticket-holders can trick or treat in the parks, visit with characters in costume, enjoy the rides with only party pass-holders and so much more.
Trick or Treating at Walt Disney World?! This is gonna be awesome! The party is only on select nights from September through Oct, and you do need separate admission tickets for the event, read about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to get all the details.

Another major event going on right now at Walt Disney World is the 18th Annual Food and Wine Festival. How could you not get excited with a title like that? There will be cuisines from all over the world from 270 chefs including Disney chefs and culinary stars from across the country. Refreshments come from crafted by brewers and master wine makers.
My foodie self is jumping at the chance to attend this popular event as well.

We’ll be staying at The Cabins at Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World, Inspired by turn-of-the-century National Park lodges, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge celebrates American craftsmanship and honours the beauty of the untamed wilderness.
This location offers up so much in itself like archery, a ranch and even a Chip ’N Dale’s Campfire Sing-a-long. You need to check out all the details on these cabins and the area.

Now, regretfully, my husband cannot join us at Walt Disney World due to a conflict with the work schedule. Boo! {pun intended}. Yet, this time my MIL will be joining myself and the kids, to experience Walt Disney World for the very first time herself.
If you think the kids are excited, you should hear her all a buzz, thrilled with the chance to experience Disney with her Granddaughters, it’s our first multi-generational trip!
The packing has begun and we are all looking forward to this magical trip, to experience familiar loves yet also new adventures and experiences that only Disney can give.
I’ll be sharing a ton on social media while there, so make sure to follow #DisneyHaunt on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. If you have any questions about visiting Walt Disney World, especially during the Halloween season, don’t hesitate to ask!
.
Disney Parks Canada is covering the expenses for this trip. The opinions on this blog are my own.

What a beautiful story Tammi…it must have been a very special moment in time for the entire family. I haven’t been to anything Disney for several years but I would love to take Sara and watch her expressive reactions to all of the wonderful sights and sounds.
I can’t believe all of the changes since I last went to Disneyland although I have never been to Disneyworld, the pictures that you take make me excited to go and make me feel as though I am almost there…almost 🙂
Magic moments indeed. Glad you are home and that it was a wonderful time.
