We’re Back from our Canadian Rocky Mountains Family Trip!
This weekend we took a family trip to Banff National Park, a popular gem hidden in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
We are fortunate to live just a few hours away, so we try to visit as often as possible. Each time we go, we have new adventures, see new things. So, I can report from personal experience that there is something for everyone to do, even kids at every age.
Here’s just a tiny snippet of what we did over the weekend, simply gorgeous, right?
The drive from Jasper to Banff National Park, ‘scenic’ may be an understatement!
Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure.
Banff Gondola up Sulphur Mountain.
The beautiful view from the top of Sulphur Mountain.
Boat cruise on Lake Minnewanka.
Stay tuned for posts on our family stay very soon, yet if you’d like to take a peek at my tweets over the weekend {with photos!}, just read the #goandseizethesummer & hashtag on Twitter.

I would have been terrified on that gondola! Great photos.
Banff is definitely on my bucket list! We went to Calgary years ago, but didn’t have the time or $$ to stretch the trip and see Banff…
Oh you come from
The prettiest province. So much to discover and enjoy there!
Beautiful pictures!!! It sadly does not snow here in Florida but I really want to take the kids to see it hopefully this winter.
Those are amazing mountains!
I’ve always wanted to visit Banff! I think my sister went a couple of years ago (we have a cousin in Alberta), but I haven’t had the chance.
I bet the pictures just can’t do the real view justice!
Oh my goodness! Those look like postcards!!
STUNNING! Simply stunning. For as long as I can remember my mom has been talking about wanting to go to Banff – these pictures make me see why.
I can’t wait for the rest of your posts! A couple of my friends just came back from a trip to various cities in Alberta, and Banff was their favourite place to go!
I have only seen the Rockies from the air but would love to visit them one day!
Love Banff it is one of my favourite places on earth and it looks like you had an amazing adventure! I will definitley have travel up to jasper too as the road looks scenic and beautiful!
It’s been years since I was at the Columbia Icefields and I don’t live very far away. Your pictures are great and it reminds me how fortunate I am to live so close.
We LOVE the mountains and made a visit there this summer as well! Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Looks so beautiful. Would love to check it out one day.
Awesomely beautiful. I have yet to travel on that side of Canada. I believe it will take my breath away. Thanks for sharing.
Magnificent Mountains and Valleys. Really Amazing. We have great mountains here in Arizona too. Great hiking in the “winter” time.
I have only ever been there when there was snow on the ground, but seeing these photos shows me that it is perhaps even more beautiful in summer 🙂
