Last month we had a scrumptious meal at my in-laws house, for Easter dinner. The menu included the most incredible dessert, Cream Cheese Tarts Topped with Fruit.

I’d now consider this the perfect summer dessert. It’s fresh and light, and bite sized!

She’d made this Cream Cheese Fruit Tarts recipe many times before, yet it was my first taste.

One bite and I was hooked. This was the perfect light dessert after a hearty meal.

Cream Cheese Tarts Topped with Fruit

Yield: 6
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

This super simple dessert recipe for Cream Cheese Tarts Topped with Fruit is what I'd consider the perfect Summer Dessert. 

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
  • 1 14 oz can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Small tart shells, 12-15
  • Sliced Fresh or Frozen Fruit of choice

Instructions

  1. Beat cream cheese in large bowl until fluffy
  2. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth
  3. Stir in lemon juice and vanilla. Spoon into cooled small cooked {but not overcooked} tart shells, as per package directions.
  4. Chill 2 hours or until set.
  5. Top with fruit of choice

    1. Oh yes, Tenderflake has some in the freezer section. While I make a mean pastry, these are so convenient and handy. Something I always have on hand!

  4. Made these & topped with mandarin orange slices, they were delicious! The only thing I noticed was that I had WAAAAAY too much “sauce” after filling a package of 12 Tenderflake shells. My kids just ate it out of the bowl this time but next time I’d make 24 shells with this recipe!
