October hit and so did the chilly, crisp air. Like clockwork. What’s up with that, Mother Nature?

As much as I can beg, plead and beg, Winter is coming. It’s a fact. So, while I may have a pouty face and stare longingly at my tank tops and flip-flops, I have to get into the change of seasons and try not to fight it. So much.

This month I have feverishly been transitioning my home and closets to the colder months that lay ahead, warm coats and boots now find their home in the hall closet and not the storage closet. A basket of the girls’ hats, gloves and mitts on the shelf, and sweaters up front and center in the kids closet {side note, they hate that, they keep pulling out the sundresses. I don’t blame them}. Myself, I think I need a new jacket this Winter, and have been browsing the women’s jackets at SHOP.CA. I especially like this one! 

Yet, there’s another part of my home that is getting the overhaul this season, and that’s the kitchen. Using the BBQ less and less with each passing week, my slow cooker is now getting a true workout. Now that’s it’s cooler, I don’t mind using that oven so much.
