Meeting Justin Bieber

Earlier this month, my daughter and I were invited to attend the Justin Bieber ‘Believe Tour’ concert in Edmonton, Alberta. With a chance at meeting him. My daughter is a Justin fan, so how could I not accept?

The concert was great, he really put on a great show, as did his opening, Carly Rae Jepsen {Call Me Maybe}. Lights, confetti, fire and tons of dancing. We knew our moves to Bieber’s new song ‘Beauty and a Beat’ feat. Nicki Minaj, thanks to practice on Just Dance 4.

Belle and I had so much fun together, a wonderful mom and daughter date night.

Along with fabulous seats to the show, we also got Meet and Greet passes. As you can see in the pic, she’s in awe – completely stunned at the opportunity. Love it!

I really earned the Mom of the Year award for this night, and my daughter will have the best ‘my first concert’ stories.

What was your first concert?

  1. That is so cool! While my girls aren’t JB fans, I know how much they would flip if they got to meet one of their celebrity idols. She will surely remember this mommy daughter date forever!

    1. Ya, it was a great experience, it’s always cool to meet any celebrity – kind of a fascination of mine!

  2. Yeah I think that would be mom of the year award in any girls book. Very cool you got to meet him. My kids are too young for concert, but they are boys, so not sure what their interests will be then.

    1. Hmmm, will be interesting to see. We tried getting her tickets months and months ago, yet the prices were crazy and it sold out so quick. I guess she was meant to be there!

  3. What lucky girls you were

My first concert was at the Albert Hall London to see Barry White Love Unlimited & The Love Unlimited Orchestra had an amazing time 🙂

    Have a fantabulosa Halloween 🙂

  4. That is very cool. Lol I think my first concert was Tim McGraw even though I’m not a country fan it wasn’t bad and I was young. I think my favorite was Cinderella…Don’t know what ya got til it’s goowooone……lol

    1. Ha!! I went to a Garth Brooks concert just after HS. Wasn’t a fan {country isn’t my thing either}, but I love concerts regardless. Was a great time with a bunch of friends!

  5. Who is the greatest mom in the world, yaa hooo. That’s pretty incredible.
My first concert was with a local band in the center next to where the big boys performed. Loud and smoky and stinky. But we were so cool for going.

    1. Yes! I recall many of those in College. Myself and my group of friends tried to hit every concert that came to local bars. Loud. Stinky. But good times.

    1. That’s awesome! The drummer from some 80’s rock band lives a couple blocks away from me… can’t recall the name or band at the moment. Small world, right?

    1. Aw – you are so sweet!!!
I take it as a compliment, but I just told my daughter and she scrunched her nose. I guess being my sister isn’t a good thing…?? KIDS!!

  6. Not a huge Justin Bieber fan, but that is a really cool opportunity there.
I remember my mom took me to my first concert, we went to see Stryper at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.

  7. Looks like you had a lot of fun together. (I don’t know much about Justin Bieber, & I still haven’t been able to figure out why so many people dislike him! Do you know?)

    1. No idea. I mean, he hasn’t done nearly the stupid things that some have. He looks like a normal teen and doesn’t wear meat-dresses or anything… I dunno. But, he’s very talented and has done so much already – good for him!!

      1. It’s true! (That much I know about him.) So I really wonder what’s up with people’s hostility toward him. Maybe it’s just another example of the hostility many people feel toward any successful person or business. Envy or jealousy.

  8. Wow! That’s fantastic!

My first ‘real’ concert that I remember was Dwight Yokum, and I was excited to see him. (yes, I know, dating myself and outing myself as a total nerd!)

I’ve seen some good ones, but nothing on the scale of the Bieb I’m sure! Great memories, Mom. Good job!

  9. That is so awesome. You are like the coolest mom in the history of the world now in her book (not that you weren’t already)! I stumbled! My niece would have loved that!

  10. My daughter has seen Justin Bieber too, but if I’d have taken her for a meet n greet, she wouldn’t have made it… her knees would have give out and we’d have had to peel her from the floor. 🙂

Glad you had such a fabulous time. I love the pics!

  13. love his story of making it in a tough industry, and his mom’s story and background and what she overcame…

  14. Wow! How exciting! My first concert was the rock band Rush back in the 80’s!

  16. Hi Tammi, thanks for sharing your JB date night with your daughter. This memory will be with her forever. My first concert experience was when I was 13 years old. I was allowed to attend a Stampeders concert with friends. It was a great time.

  17. I loved attending the Michael Buble concert a few years back – how did you score such an amazing invite?? I think your blog is so interesting and you get to do some really cool things!

  18. What an amazing opportunity for the both of you. That will surely be a memory that neither one of you are likely to forget any time soon!

  22. That was pretty cool. Not a big fan of JB, but I think it is great that you had a date with your daughter 🙂 It has inspired me to want to plan a night to do something with my boys!

  23. How very cool! My oldest DD is so anti Beiber it’s funny, but the other girls enjoy his music. Beauty and a Beat is often heard around these parts much to my DD”s dismay.

  24. Hi there! This article could not be written any better!
Reading through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He continually kept talking about this. I am going to forward
this article to him. Pretty sure he’s going to have a
very good read. Thank you for sharing!

  25. This is all good, but in the end only you can make decisions about your kitchen renovation.
Will any walls, especially load bearing walls, have
to be knocked down. An update sink fixture with great looking knobs can instantly update a plain and
outdated kitchen counter and sink area.

  26. Women all over the country go out via the day so the norm, they will increasingly
work located in what before certainly male dominated industries.

The website offers a wide variety of hair clips, flowers,
baby bows, headbands, french clips, and cheer bows for females of all ages–babies, toddlers, girls, teens, and women. On the contrary side,
old females may wish to imitate the styles of some middle aged stars.
