This is the post where I solve a common problem with baby bodysuits.
Disclosure: I don’t have babies anymore {*sniff*}, yet I remember all too well.
Disclosure #2: I get a little snarky in this post
So, one issue I had with all 3 of my girls when they were younger, was onesies {or bodysuits if you call them that}. Let’s call it a love-hate relationship. On one side I loved that alone they kept baby cool and with the quick addition of pants you could walk out that door. More often than any other clothing my girls wore, onesies {or bodysuits} were a staple right until toddlerhood.
The ‘hate’ part of that relationship? They grew out of them so fast! The sizes were out to lunch thus I accumulated a ton of them. Here I am now, with at least 2 dozen of them still in a plastic containers in my basement. Wouldn’t it be nice to cut that buying down, and get some that lasted longer than 3 months at a time?
Fisher-Price Stretch’Ems.
Fisher-Price has a new line of onesies out right now, in cute colour palettes for boys and girls. They are also incredibly soft to the touch. They do come in sizes Newborn, 0-3, 3-6 and 9-12 months {priced at $14.97 for a 3-pack}, at Walmart.
Yet the true beauty of these bodysuits lies in the ”Stretch’Ems” feature, which took 18 months of research, testing and development.
It’s a unique grow-with-me design, allowing for maximum wear so that most won’t have to buy new ones every 3 months. They stretch without losing shape yet still feel comfortable for baby.
Maximum stretch in this 9-12 month onesie? But, it looks like an ordinary-sized one. Ya right!
Bwwaaaa, like I wasn’t going to put this one to the test!
“Oh 4 year old, come to Mom please. I have something for you to try on {stifling a giggle}”
….. oh.
{insert foot in mouth} They DO stretch!
Fisher-Price, where was this when my kids were young?
Heads up parents, you’ll want to try these: Fisher-Price Stretch’Ems.

BAHAHA! I am trying them out on Reid THIS second!!!
Oh you have to, who would have thought!!
My oldest is small for his age. I am going to try one on him this afternoon:)
Hee, I’m in love with onesies all over again!
Hilarious!
Need those! I have a monster baby who, at five months, is pretty much outgrowing is 6-12 month size clothes. And all I ever got at baby showers were onesies so I have a MILLION of those. Yeah, I mostly hate them. Maybe I should just get a few of these ones and donate all my others.
Yes, Laura – I feel your pain!
I think my twins were in two different sizes of onesies all the time, it was tough to keep track! Would have been nice to have these at that time!
I just bought some for a shower gift, they are great!
Hahaha! So cute – but this will be one photo you may want to hide from her someday
Riza, She looks pretty young with a onesie on again, is that the secret to youth? Hmmmm, nah don’t worry, I won’t try it on. Maybe. lol
I am with you on this, where were these when I had my babies…mind you my almost four year old would definitely still be able to wear these too! Seeing as how she is just now going into size three clothing. My tiny children could have lasted in these for so long with their slow growth rate!
OMG LOL I love that you tested them on your 4 year old.
Ha! I just had to. It’s the reviewer in me! lol
So cute! And why didn’t they have these when my kids were small. D’oh!
Wow! I can’t believe they stretch that much. What a great idea!
