My First Shop.ca Purchase = Bragworthy Indeed!

Yes, the following is a whole post dedicated to my first SHOP.CA purchase, cause honestly, I’m pretty darn proud of it. Kinda like a, “Woo! SCORE” that you just want to shout publicly about. Which I will right now, so brace yourself.

As much as I love ‘me’ shopping and browsing all the great women’s clothing and shoes on the site, I’m a practical person at heart. So, when I set out to buy something off of Canada’s Online Mecca for Shopping for the first time, I took that same practical approach.

What did I need at home?

Then I spotted the Motorola 2 Handset Cordless Phone Set – Bingo!

At the time SHOP.CA was offering a fabulous promo: “spend $50 and get $50 in rewards“. So, this Motorola phone set was $79.99, yet when combined with the promo, I really only spent $30 on these cordless phones. And, at SHOP.CA, there’s FREE SHIPPING too.

{Which is a great time to mention that you really should follow SHOP.CA on Facebook and Twitter, so that you don’t miss out on incredible offers and promos}

Now onto the phones themselves:

  • DECT 6.0 Cordless Technology with 2 Handest
  • Caller ID with Call Waiting
  • 30 Name and Number Phonebook
  • 9 Speed Dial Numbers
  • 3 Line Backlit Display

The Motorola L402 DECT 6.0 cordless phones with stylish handset, great value and easy to use answering system with message counter. Features include: Interference free digital technology,3-line backlit display, clock, and call waiting caller ID. The answering machine gives you remote access to messages and the ability to leave audio memos for family members. The cordless phone requires only one phone jack and has a range of up to 160 feet indoors and 980 feet outdoors.

The phones are clear, with no static or interference and so easy to use and store information. Really, it has so many features, about everything I need in home a home phone.

The charge doesn’t last 3 weeks like my last ones, but that previous product was double the price and totally went dead after a few months {fail}. So, I’ll take having to charge these ones once a week and have a great-functioning phone any day. The pros definitely outweigh the tiny ‘con’ {if you really want to call it that} of having to charge every 7-9 days. Actually, I kinda feel silly mentioning it at all, it’s so minor. Yet, full disclosure is what my readers like, so there you have it.

Now, at the time of purchase I did a little search on these Motorola phones and seen that another online .ca store was selling them for $10 more, plus shipping. Right now the .com partner of this store has them listed at $100, plus shipping. {ouch!}

So, Shopping at SHOP.CA {$70 with $50 in return rewards plus free shipping} proved to be a very smart purchase. Ordering on the site was really simple and my item came in just a few days.

So, that’s the almighty BRAG-MOMENT, people!

I cannot wait to Shop more on this site, have you bought anything at SHOP.CA yet?

    Oh do people still buy home Phones LOL

    • Tammi says:

      Ha! Yes I do Bev – decades of people have that number, I’m almost afraid of going without it! lol

  2. Wow, great find! I’ve been meaning to check out shop.ca (for practical things like phones of course!) Thanks for sharing. :)

    • Tammi says:

      I always look for the ‘needs’ first, but they have a whole lotta great things for ‘wants’ too! lol

  3. Doris Calvert says:

    I still have a land line phone too, wouldn’t go without it, I am stumped at why most people have cell phones only yet a lot do, well I am old so I think it might be the younger generation who grew up with cell phones (O I never thought I would be saying that)

    • Tammi says:

      Ha!! I think the same way Doris! To me, home is home and friends and family call me here. My cell is for work and for when I’m not at home. My Aunt, who may call once every 5 years calls me at home. Or, that specialist my daughter went to 5 years ago. It’s my number and always has been, I don’t think I’ll ever be rid of it.
      Plus, the cell phone plans here aren’t that great, I can’t imagine how much my bills would be if I had to use it solely all.the.time! {and do I really want my daughters’ friends calling MY cell? no thank you!} :)

    great purchase!

  5. Teresa M. says:

    I haven’t had a landline for a few years now but considering having a home phone and no cell phone. I am tired of being available 24/7. Calls during work, travel or just when I am in the library for a little peace. I haven’t tried Shop.ca but I trust your review so will take a looksie :) I am in the mood for the wants :)
