On August 21st, Disneynatures’ CHIMPANZEE releases on Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD), Digital and On-Demand viewing. The inspiring film follows the True-Life Adventure of Oscar, a young chimpanzee whose curiosity and zest for life showcase theintelligence and ingenuity of some of the most extraordinary personalities in the animal kingdom {narrated by Tim Allen}.
We have a couple Disneynature DVD’s {Earth and Oceans} and we have enjoyed them immensely. As a person who loves travel and learning about the world, I’m happy that my girls have the same interests and are as captured by these films as I am.
We recently received Disneynatures CHIMPANZEE on Blu-ray Combo Pack and immediately settled in to view.
To start, the visual beauty of African rainforest is captured in the most breathtaking way. The film follows Oscar’s journey of growing and facing the obstacles of life in general. He loses his mother, so he is raised by Freddy, an alpha male. Just the interaction of the chimpanzee’s is nothing short of amazing. And, our review copy came just in time, as the day before we went to the zoo and seen chimps! So, the girls were amazed with watching the animals they just seen the night before, on DVD. In fact, I’d like to take them again, now we have all learned a bit more about the animal.
I cannot stres enough how beautifully this film is captured and how much you’ll learn about this piece of the world and its inhabitants, a wonderful movie to add to your Disneynature collection.
The Bonus material includes a making-of documentary, the “Rise” music video from McClain Sisters, a behind the scenes look at why the documentary was made and more!
I found the information on Disney’s Conservation Legacy {the conservation efforts that Disney sponsors around the world} very interesting and I really liked the interview with Dr. Jane Goodall whom I have found fascinating all my life.
Out on Blu-ray & DVD on 8/21, look for Disneynature’s CHIMPANZEE in stores!
