It’s no secret that tacos are a favorite in this house. Yet, with two toddlers, it isn’t the most ‘friendly’ of recipes when it comes to … total mess! So, I thought I’d try Biscuit Taco Cups and see if they were more of a kid-friendly choice. I usually make my own biscuits {simple to make and just a few ingredients}. Yet, for added ease, you can also use Pillsbury Grand bisquits {though they are hard to find in stores near me}.

Delicious and just plain cute – Biscuit Taco Cups are a must-try. Though small, the addition of the Biscuits make them very filling, one could do most people. The kids made less mess and we all gobbled them up. And, the biscuits heat up nice the next day too, for leftovers!
- 1 can Pillsbury Grand bisquits
- 1 lb. Ground Beef (or chicken, or steak etc)
- 1 Packets Taco Seasoning
- Fresh Veggies: Lettuce, tomato, green pepper, jalapeno etc
- Sour cream
- Heat oven to 375°F. Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
- Add taco seasoning mix and water; mix well. Reduce heat to medium; simmer 10 minutes or until ground beef mixture is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Spray cupcake pan lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
- Separate dough into 8 biscuits and press to into and as much up the side of cups as possible.
- Bake at 375°F. for 14 to 16 minutes or until deep golden brown. Remove pan from oven. If cups are puffed, before they cool, try to gently pat them down to get that ‘cup’ form back.
- Remove biscuit cups after about 10 minutes once they have cooled enough to keep shape.
- Spoon beef mixture evenly into each cup.
- Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and salsa.

Um… I’d never thought I’d say that “biscuit” and “taco” could go together… but they look delicious!!! Okay, I’ll try it!
Oh wow! These look delicious! Thank you for sharing!
Make and enjoy, Soozie!
I have done something similar, but used flat bread as the “cup” (and fiddled around making that cup stay in place) This looks like it take much less effort and somthing my husband can get ready for dinner too! Which is a bonus for me! thanks for sharing!
Good to note: flatbread when in a pinch! I also have a hard time finding the Grands, not sure why most stores here don’t have it. Anyway, the Grands is much easier to make into cups than the regular size package!
I’ve done this with mashed potatoes, beef and gravy and it turned out really well.
Will definitely need to try tacos.
Oh, that sounds good! Do you mean to put the ingredients inside the biscuit cups? Link me a recipe if you can!
Yup, I made the biscuit cups exactly like you did.
I browned a half pound of ground beef with onions, salt and pepper. Gravy was just a store-bought package where you add water. Mashed potatoes however you make them.
I then half-cooked the biscuits, put half mashed potato, half beef into the cups and cooked the rest of the time.
Once they were done I added the gravy to the top and served.
Thanks so much for posting this recipe! We love tacos, but they are so hard for the little ones to eat. This seems like a great alternative!
Let me know if you try this recipe, Veronica!
It’s one to try at least once!
These look and sound so delicious! I just may have to try them with my fam!
