Easy Craft Idea using Styrofoam Packing Peanuts

by Tammi on 02/17/2012 · 6 comments

As a blogger, it’s pretty crazy how many boxes and wrap goes into my recycling each week. The most annoying are those Styrofoam Packing Peanuts, they cling to everything!

I was about to take a whole box full outside but then the kids asked to make something with them. Why not?

So, I gave the kids some paper plates, glue and the Styrofoam Packing Peanuts and had them make igloos! They even chose Christmas themed paper plates so they could pretend the igloos were from the North Pole. {ya, ya – no Canadian jokes, please! ;) }

They had so much fun!

If Winter has you a littler desperate for easy and effortless ‘non-Martha’ craft-ideas, this could buy you enough time to take that warm shower, Mamas!

That is cute. They could build whole cities with streets and buildings, on bigger cardboard boxes. :)
