Georges Skin Cream

It’s that time of year, and the cold and wind outside coupled with the warm and dry indoors – hare already causing havoc on our skin. I have noticed a significant dryness on mine and my kids’ skin, and this is only made worse with constant handwashing due to the Fall & Winter cold and flu season. For my twins, who are prone to eczema, this is the time of year I dread the most, they get so uncomfortable!

Georges Skin Cream was created by two pharmacists {George and Skip} and entrepreneurs right here in my home-province of Alberta, actually from their pharmacy in Calgary! This is significant to me since they are in the medical profession, and that they also know full well what the weather and conditions are like here. Their result is a cream that is unscented and non-irritating – yet, most importantly, it’s effective and you don’t need a prescription.

The brand has two products: George’s Special Dry Skin Cream {a thicker cream designed to provide relief from many skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, windburn, sport chafing etc}, and George’s Light Special Moisturizing Lotion, which is a lighter version for everyday use.

Myself and the kids have been using this cream on all dry areas which include the hands, legs, arms and for the kids – the cheeks. Right away I appreciated that it’s non-scented, since my toddlers love nothing more than to taste yummy scented creams. le sigh. So, for the fact that they didn’t see this product as a snack, I am grateful.

I use the Special Dry Skin Cream to their body once per day and cheeks twice per day, morning and night. Right from the first day I noticed a dramatic improvement. For myself as well, noting that it’s a wonderful cream to apply to the hands – no greasy residue left on the hands with either varieties. I reach for the Light Lotion most of the time yet give my hands and dry areas some of the thicker cream at night. It goes to show that an effective product doesn’t have to be an expensive brand name. And, again, so wonderful to support a local company.

George’s Skin Cream’s can be found at many stores, a full list of each province is on the website. In Alberta, you can shop at Shoppers Drug Mart {get some this weekend, during their Bonus Redemption Event!} and Loblaws, Safeway, Sobeys, Coop, London Drugs and more! There’s many sizes to choose from, from the full bottles for home, to travel sizes for the purse or car. These also make great stocking stuffers!

I would love to try this out – my skin is sooooooo insanely dry in the winter & I still haven’t found a product I like

I would love to win this for my daughter – she’s a transplanted west coast girl now living in Ontario, and she finds that her skin actually peels off in that climate. This could be just what she needs.
