Sometimes the best gift for Dad is one that he needs most. For instance, if he’s supposed to wake up before the sunrise, and that’s difficult for him. Maybe he needs some help from Philips? They have this product called the Wake Up Light.

The Philips Wake Up Light makes getting up before the rooster crows, more naturally. After all, who likes to be waken up to that annoying alarm, ringing, blasting noise!! What kind of tone does that set for the day? Instead, the Philips Wake-Up Light is an Official Light Therapy Product of the National Sleep Foundation, that wakes you naturally by a light that increases gradually. Just like the sun!

The Philips Wake Up Light imitates the sunrise, with the purpose of helping you greet the morning with an improved mood and increased energy level {and not by swearing profusely at the alarm clock!}

How it works: Halogen light slowly increases for 30 minutes before your set alarm time {and it has 20 brightness settings!}. This gently prepares your body to wake up and start your day feeling more energetic. It has dual alarm settings, optional FM radio and nature sounds, and even a great tap-anywhere snooze. If that isn’t enough, it also features dusk simulation, to help you fall asleep at night.

My husband, when he’s not away at work, is an early riser. And, I have to admit, I have my share of problems getting up in the morning as well. It’s worse during the winter {-40 weather would make you want to stay in bed too}, yet even during the summer I’d still rather sleep. Plus, I’m a snooze pusher – only because I loathe the sound of alarms and hit snooze for a quick relief to the ears. So, I can honestly say that this product is a win-win for both myself and the Father in thehouse! And since I could use this light too, I just had to test it out myself – and LOVE it! Oh, what a better way to wake up in the morning {and actually wake up too, instead of playing the alarm/snooze game all morning}. The Wake Up Light really has so many great features, it’s way more than just a light! And, I love that the optional sounds settings includes singing birds, and it starts out quiet and increases, just like the brightness of the light. It’ll feel like Spring and Summer next winter…well, long enough to get me out of bed, at least!
