Canadian Tire : Win a $50 GC for Father’s Day

by Tammi on 06/13/2011 · 885 comments

I’m not sure about the man in your life – but my hubby adores Canadian Tire. Walking into that store, to him, is like me finding a sale rack full of fabulous clothes. Whether it’s tools, automotive, garage ‘stuff’ or a new line of car detailing product – my husband can always find lots of items he wants, at Canadian Tire. There is something about that store that makes men puff out their chests and grunt like Tim Taylor. So, of course it’s a feature for the 2011 Father’s Day Event!

Now, Canadian Tire has something for any man, just think about his hobbies and you can get some ideas. Yet for this post I will focus on the man who likes to camp and live in the outdoors. For review, I got the Coleman Camp Coffee Maker. I’m the one that shops for appliances and gear for the home, and this also extends to all that gear we take when going camping. Until recently, we always used an old camp coffee kettle, most likely made circa 1978. Which, don’t get me wrong, works to make coffee. But at what kind of hassle? If you want to sneak in a cup of coffee before waking the bears {aka, the kids}, making coffee on that old kettle is not a great idea. They’ll hear you, and you won’t get that coffee, plain and simple. Take it outside to boil? Sure, but then you have to start a fire or light the BBQ and that’s just too much work to do before that 1st cup of morning coffee! Same goes for the guy that gets up at 4am to get some fishing in, before everyone else wakes. Who wants to clang with the coffee percolator at 4am?! And what about everyone else who doesn’t want to hear him?

The Coleman Camp Coffee Maker is a propane-power coffee maker that is 100% portable {aka, quietly have your cup outside listening to nature}. It runs on a basic propane cylinder and has a short brew time of just 12 minutes for an entire pot full. Plus, there’s no hassle since there are no cords or percolator. It starts with just a push of the ignition button, no matches required. It has a removable filter basket {trust me, much easier to clean than a percolator!} and can make up to 10 cups of coffee. This is great to have when camping with a large group!

Plus, there’s the comfort in it being the Coleman brand. Coleman = camping, and it’s a trusted name for almost 100 years. Coleman has given consumers a diverse line of quality products that make spending time outside, enjoyable and convenient. And this coffee maker is no different.

Quite honestly, the Coleman Camp Coffee Maker is like having the convenience of home, away from home. Hey, I may sleep outside, make friends with flies that try to share my food, and not shower for days – but someone please – make me a good cup of coffee!

The Coleman Camp Coffee Maker is a great gift idea for the camper, the tailgater and/or the adventurer … ok, and a bonus for everyone else who gets to enjoy a cup, as well. :)

One Canadian reader is going ot get a $50 GC to Canadian Tire!
