Win a Chinese New Year Prize Pack {Cooking with VH Sauces}

by Tammi on 02/03/2011 · 995 comments

People around the world are ringing in The Year of the Rabbit, today marks the beginning of the 15 day celebration! Happy Chinese New Year! Today the kids and I marked the occasion, not in the Far East, but in our own home. For supper we made a Chinese stir fry, thanks to an Asian-inspired basket from VH Sauces. The basket included:

  • Asian Bamboo cooking utensil set
  • Wok
  • Bamboo place mats
  • Four red napkins
  • Candle
  • VH Soya Sauce
  • VH General Tao Sauce
  • VH Garlic Hoisin Sauce

We added some VH Garlic Hoisin Sauce to some basic vegetable ingredients. I served the vegetables with sauce over a bed of rice. As you well know, I am on my weight loss challenge, yet I couldn’t resist a spoonful of this dish and it was delicious.  The VH Garlic HoisenSauce is a new product in the VH line, it has a sweet and tangy taste with a hint of garlic. It can be used with many meats, such as pork, beef and even salmon. The kids gobbled up this stir-fry, making the VH Hoisen Sauce kid approved! I consider this a great feat in my house, since they are really picky about their sauces and foods.

There’s a wonderful recipe for
Spicy Shrimp Stir-Fry that uses the VH General Tao Sauce, and I’m trying it next. Yet there’s so many recipes to use with each sauce, I might change my mind before then. If you look at the recipes listed online at VHSauces.ca, you can get so many ideas to mix up that meal {without any hassle}. Yet I prefer the recipes found on each and every bottle of VH Sauces. Each has only a few ingredients {so I almost always have them on hand}, and you already have the main sauce for the dish right in your hands. Very convenient!

One of my readers will get the same “Asian Inspired” prize pack, valued at $75.
Filled with a wok, a bamboo cooking set, Asian décor and mouthwatering VH sauces, this prize pack includes all of your must-have items to make Chinese New Year memorable!

To Enter, visit VH Sauces and tell me which recipe you’d love to try!
