Superbowl Appetizers from M&M Meat Shops

M&M Meat Shops is back as a feature on My Organized Chaos, and I welcome them with open arms again. Canadians are pretty lucky to have such convenient and delicious frozen food chains all across the country. As I have previously said in previous posts, my family has been long-time shoppers of M&M Meat Shops, choosing frozen meats, desserts, single serving meals and even a great array of frozen vegetables and fruits. With Super Bowl Sunday happening this weekend, what a perfect opportunity to talk about the selection of appetizers at M&M Meat Shops.

Very seldom do I have time to prepare a number of appetizers when we have a gathering. That is way I *always* have a few appetizer selections on hand, for when we have unexpected company or when I just don’t have the time to shop before guests arrive.

Here are some appetizer suggestions which my family loves {including the kids!}, for your Superbowl Sunday! ….or simply anytime you are hosting a get together… or need a break from cooking …. or just because it’s delicious….

Ok, alright – on with the list!

Appetizers:

Cooked Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
With 22-28 wings in each box, there’s usually leftovers or we split it into 2 meals, to save half for another occasion {or when the ‘I don’t want to cook’ mood strikes}. Being Honey Garlic, they tend to please adults and kids alike, being a flavor that most enjoy. My husband likes to make both these and the Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings, he loves hot wings! And since most of his friends do as well, the Hot & Spicy flavor would be a great appetizer to serve on Superbowl Sunday.

Oriental Party Pack
Our ultimate favorite M&M Meat Shops appetizer. This box contains: 12 mini Potstickers, 12 mini Vegetable Spring Rolls, 15-16 bite-sized pieces of Breaded Chicken Breast, and 15-16 bite-sized pieces of Breaded, Boneless Pork Loin. Having such a great selection ensures there something for every preference. We last served this on our annual Christmas Eve appetizer night and even had some to snack on for lunch on Christmas Day – just right to tide us over for the huge feast!

Beer Battered Shrimp
Beer on Shrimp – Doesn’t that sound like a true match for Superbowl Sunday? {ha!} This is another favorite since it has 26-34 pieces, it goes a long way. These are always a favorite to serve, we have even chose these as a nice appetizer for guests before a meal. My kids don’t eat these {even covered in sauce, which by the way, M&M Meats sells}, yet that’s sometimes a good thing. More for the grown ups!

Desserts:

Caramel Apple Pie
This is one of our all-time favorite desserts.
When my husband is at work, him and his co-workers take turns cooking lunch for everyone {that way they all get a good, hot meal}. My husband likes to replay to me his chosen menu when it’s his turn, and I have noted that each and every time, there seems to be an M&M Meat Shops Caramel Apple Pie
{or two} in there. M&M Meat Shops enables a bunch of working men to enjoy warm caramel apple pie from time to time! When I had asked my hubby once if he thought it was as good as my homemade apple pie, he quickly said ‘oh, no. of course not” {with a mouthful of the pie}. Smart man!

Chocolate Chunk Buttercream Bars
I picked one of these up once for a pot-luck dinner I was attending. It was a last minute decision to attend, and I hadn’t had time to make a dessert to bring. I picked up one of these and we were all in heaven! I may just have to ‘accidentally’ run late and do this every time – it made a lasting impression on all who attended! And, it was big enough for everyone to take a piece home too!
