Rubbermaid TakeAlongs and Sharpie Pens | Holiday Baking

I used to always do complete holiday baking. I say *used* to, because I really haven’t found the time or energy since the Twins were born {imagine that?}. I really do enjoy baking, and adore the idea of gifting baked goods to friends, neighbors, teachers…or whoever. After all, I think most people love getting home-made baked goods! So, my plan is to get back into it this year, and make a ton of baked goods to gift. Rubbermaid and Sharpie have partnered together this holiday season with a great gift idea. All you need is the Rubbermaid TakeAlongs 15 Pack of containers and some Sharpie pens!

Simply arrange some baked goods in a container {add some festive wax paper for decoration, if you choose}, and personalize the container for the recipient, using Sharpie pens! Now, you can do this and get all artsy, yet you can let the kids do their magic, and make it gift from the whole family. Add a bow and possibly a recipe on a tag – and you have it made! The Rubbermaid TakeAlong 15 Pack Containers are great, I like the variety of sizes and the quality that is Rubbermaid. They come at a great cost, so it won’t be a financial strain to purchase them – and they can be re-used! These containers are perfect for holiday baking since they have quik clik seal – meaning the lid is sealed for freshness. I always store my baked goods in the freezer {when I bake, I bake for an army}, and the last thing I want to gift is unfresh baked goods!

The assortment of Sharpie pens I received was fantastic. The Sharpie Retractable Permanent Markers {in 8 colors} are fine point, which I prefer. Then, you can write on small recipe cards or draw a nice picture on the container. The Sharpie Pen Retractables {red, blue and black} won’t bleed through paper. Now, I wish I had these when I was writing my Christmas cards! The thing I love the most about these is that there are no caps – they click! I always seem to loose lids, so this is tops with me! I also got The Sharpie Stainless Steel, which is the first re-fillable marker and just looks so regal – you’ll want to use it all the time. With the Sharpie Paints {silver and gold}, your writing will look fabulous! Now, I am a little crazy over these pens, I have to admit. Have I really been buying too many pens from the dollar store lately? I now know quality! And, they are safely hidden from my daughter too.

We made a batch of cookies the other day, yet company arrived just as they were finished. The cookies ended up being eaten before they were put into containers for gifting. So, our next holiday baking day is set for next week {another example of life getting in the way of plans!}.
