FURREAL Friends | GoGo My Walkin’ Pup

I recall the first time my Twins seen FURREAL Friends, GoGo My Walking Pup on a store shelf. They went just crazy! So, when HASBRO offered us the chance to review this darling pup for my 2010 Holiday Gift Guide, I eagerly accepted. When I introduced the Twins to GoGo, their excitement was beyond belief {happy factor is noted, right?}. GoGo My Walkin’ Pup has some really cute interactive features that are way beyond those of just a regular stuffed canine.

The FurReal GoGo My Walkin’ Pup follow my kids wherever they go, thanks to a remote on her leash. She barks, wags her tail and walks in whatever direction is pushed on the remote. GoGo can move straight, left or right, in circles and she can even do figure-eights! She has sensors on her, enabling her to move her head, wag her tail and make enthusiastic noises when her head and sides are petted. My girls just adore walking around GoGo, and love that she interacts with them similar to what a dog would. Best of all, she’s an adorable little pup with lifelike eyes and a cute button nose!

The wheels of some animated toys have gotten caught in my kids’ hair {ouch!}. Yet GoGo has a great safety feature which eases my mind – when picked up, she stops moving! And, if my girls stop playing with GoGo {a rarity}, she goes into sleep mode to conserve battery power. Ya!

This pup is recommended for children ages 4 and up {most likely for the moving parts}, yet my girls at 2.5 just love her affectionate company. This is the first remote control toy they have had, so they need more practice on holding down the button. But for now, they push the button for short times, so GoGo usually goes on ‘stop-start-stop-start’ walks around the house {and is occasionally dragged}. Way better than a real dog being dragged, right? I feel very confident that the Twins will mater this remote very soon.

GoGo My Walkin’ Pup is great for any kid, the enthusiasm when they see it in stores lasts long after GoGo is brought into the home. Better yet, GoGo is perfect for those that want a dog, but cannot due to allergies, living restrictions, or no-one who is able to care for a real dog. GoGo My Walkin’ Pup is the next best thing, and buzz about her being one of the hottest toys for 2010 is well deserved!
