Wordless Wednesday {Mealtime Chaos}

by Tammi on 11/09/2010 · 48 comments

If you think your toddler is messy at mealtimes, try having Twin toddlers to clean up after! Now there’s chaos! {word to the wise, Tomato soup is generally *not* a very clean meal to give a toddler, let alone two}

Please leave me a comment and link up your WW photo!

Love this! We let our 15 month olds try to feed themselves a bowl of carrot soup tonight. The kitchen floor is a disaster, but they loved it.

I feel your pain. My husband watches my sister’s two during the middle of the week. We have 2 2 year olds and 2 5 year olds for breakfast and lunch. Messy!!!!! Isaak used to throw his food. I love that he’s out of that stage. He still likes to put take his food, put it in a pile on the table, then put it back on his plate.

Oh mealtimes! With mealtimes ocurring 3 TIMES A DAY…sometimes I wonder if there’s any point in cleaning in between! They’re pretty cute though ;)

Oh my, glad my kids aren’t into tomato soup. Can’t even imagine cleaning up after twins. Hated to do it for just one! LOL

Mealtimes are always messy with toddlers around. It only gets better at our house if you feed them .
Happy WW.

Umm yeah I guess not! I know it was messy enough with just one little one. I miss you :( Where have you been??

I have so much trouble cleaning up after just my one toddler at meals, I can’t imagine what a mess two might make!

Reply

PippaD November 9, 2010 at 11:32 pm

I think I make more mess than that, she has done really well!

I can relate, though on a smaller scale. I only have 1 toddler. But I have 4 kids altogether. Does that count for something? lol

My kids are 4, 2 and 1 … my girlfriend has babies 3,2,6mo … we are together at mealtimes several times a week sometimes and that is an almost unbearable disaster!! (Our husbands like to stay faaaar away at these times!)

Happy WW!

Gotta love how cute they look making the mess, but cleaning it up doesn’t quite bring about the same warm & fuzzies. :)

I’m impressed that your kids actually eat soup. Mine still turn their noses up at it.

I can’t imagine! My daughter’s a little OCD about food and always has been. Heaven forbid a little yogurt gets on her face and I hear “cloth, i need a cloth or a wipe.” We actually keep a napkin on her table at all times :) Happy Wednesday!

My dog was afraid of both of my kids when they were babies, until she discovered that there was food to be gained from hanging close to them. Dogs are quite useful when you have small, messy kids — they clean the floor so you don’t have to do it.

Food Pics are the absolute best, eh?? We got a classic of our twins last week, absolutely covered in beets and stewed apricots, holding hands and picking food off each other’s faces to snack on!
