Arm & Hammer Laundry Products | Review & Giveaway

by Tammi on 10/26/2010 · 476 comments

Arm & Hammer has a full line of laundry detergents that use the boost of baking soda for added freshness and brighter whites. All of their laundry detergents are designed to lift and trap stains from clothes and fabrics and wash them away. Plus, Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergents are only a fraction of the price of other leading detergents with a suggested retail price of $4.99 – $5.99 for the 1.62 litre/2.03 litre sizes.

The Arm & Hammer Original Laundry Detergent is designed fight odors and remove dirt, while using less water. Dirt and soil is lifted from the fabric and trapped, so it rinses away instead of redepositing on clothes. Original Arm & Hammer Liquid Laundry Detergent is available in Clean Fresh Scent and Clean Mountain Scents.

Arm & Hammer Essentials Laundry Detergent uses plant-based, biodegradable, and safe for use in septic tanks. It is the first gel detergent made with biodegradable plant based soaps in Canada, and can also be used directly on clothes to pre-treat stains. This is great to keep in mind, so that you aren’t using multiple products for nothing. I always like multi-use items, after all! The Arm & Hammer Essentials Laundry Detergents also have baking soda in the formula to provide clean, white, fresh laundry, while still being kind to the environment. Arm & Hammer Essentials laundry detergent is available in Mountain Rain Scent, Perfume and Dye free Formula, and Autumn Fresh { for High Efficiency washers}.

Arm & Hammer plus OxiClean Power Gel uses both the cleaning and freshening of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda as well as the stain fighting power of OxiClean to combat the really tough stains like dirt, blood, grass and chocolate. The extra thick gel formula can be used to pre-treat extra tough stains and will wash away in the wash leaving no residue. The Arm & Hammer plus Oxyclean Power Gel is available in an Ocean Breeze scent.

I have been using all of these types of Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergents in my home for a couple of months. For a family of 5, we do a lot of laundry and I am a picky person when it comes to detergents. The features I am most impressed with, with all of these detergents, is the clean and the scent. With 3 active kids, their laundry is a tough job, yet Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergents was able to take out anything that may get onto their clothes. I really like using the Arm & Hammer plus OxiClean Power Gel as a pre-treater, and it works beautifully! This is especially true on the whites, the clothes come out much more crisp and clean thanks to the Oxiclean. Though I didn’t see a huge difference in performance between these 3 types, preference lays your needs and what scent you like. For instance, I really like the ‘green’ factor in the Arm & Hammer Essentials biodegradable laundry detergent, as I like to do my part when I can.

One lucky Canadian reader will win their own supply of Arm & Hammer laundry detergents – as well as a comfy bathrobe and slippers! {as pictured below}

To Enter, tell me which of the 3 laundry products I mentioned, that you are interested in trying out the most, and why!
