M&M Meat Shops | Warm and Comforting Meal Solutions for Fall

www.myorganizedchaos.net,

The evidence that Summer is almost behind us is sadly everywhere. It’s chilly even in the daytime {frost at night already!}, the leaves are turning and people are preparing their yards and minds for the cold winter looming ahead. Yet, one summer favoritewww.myorganizedchaos.net, that we don’t abandon through the cold months is grilling. Seems kind of odd to see us still using the BBQ, even in blizzard-like weather, but we always do. There’s nothing like the taste of grilled food! No matter what season, there’s always M&M Meat Shops to help with family meals and entertaining. I’ve said before on My Organized Chaos, that I am found there quite often. It’s true, I do have my favorite meats and desserts from M&M Meat Shops – my family has shopped there for many years. Yet, thanks to M&M Meat Shops, I was able to review a sampling of their frozen foods, ones which I haven’t tried before. And, we took the opportunity to test this meal out not only on our family, but when invited guests were over one night.

www.myorganizedchaos.net,Being partial to M&M Meat Shops steaks and roasts, I had to wonder why I hadn’t tried their Butcher’s Grind Pure Beef Burgers before. After all, it’s nice to have some already prepared meat patties on hand, for when company calls or you find yourself short of time. And after I tried them, I was certain that I would be purchasing more {and I have since then}. I like the seasoning on the burgers and that they are so lean. They have one exceptional taste that all burger-lovers will adore! With our burgers, we tried the Steak & Onion Potato Wedges. For those that always serve fries with their burgers, think again. You do have the choice to bake in the oven or prepare in foil for the BBQ – either way, these are full of flavor and provide variety to the usual potato side. And, one must have a vegetable {or two} with every mwww.myorganizedchaos.net,eal, so we tried the Grilled Vegetables. yum! These cooked up very nicely, you would have never known that they were once frozen. Versus other frozen vegetables found in stores, these tasted fresh and crisp. I really don’t think I will go back to other alternative again! For a dessert with our meal, we made the Gourmet Pineapple Skewers. And again, when cooked it was as if they were made from only the freshest pineapple. I would have never even thought of serving this combination of foods for a meal, but our guests {and us as well}, were very impressed. In fact, I think most went back for seconds too! It was a lovely evening of entertaining, and when you want to visit and have kids underfoot, it was wonderful to not have to spend hours in the kitchen to prepare.

We also got to try the M&M Meat Shops Fire Roasted Bratwurst another night. We served it with Pierogi, since this is a meal that my children gobble up every time. The Bratwurst has now become a favorite in this house, such flavor! And, it’s also a lean meat that cooks well and takes no time at all.

I have said that I have my favorites from M&M Meat Shops and I go there almost weekly to pick up those favorites, yet trying these new products made me start thinking that I should be trying new dishes for my family. So, while I was in there one day, I opened up their sales flier and chose a few new items to try. With the new school year, I was on the hunt for quick and easy single serving dishes that I can have on hand for my daughter, when I’m on a time crunch or am just plain old sick of making one more sandwich that week {You are nodding your heads, I can tell!}. On sale that week was their Single Serving Shepard’s Pie, and this sort of food I do prefer to make from scratch, yet I thought I’d give it a try {on sale for just $2 each, how could you not give it a chance?}. YUM, YUM! I am a picky person when it comes to comfort meals like these, and have never liked prepared frozen Shepard’s Pie in stores {bland, boring, expensive and not worth the money}. But, M&M Meat Shops proved that you can find a delicious and convenient meal in a frozen foods store. So, I did what any busy Mother with Twins plus one would do, I went back and got more. Now, it’s Isabelle’s special warm meal once a week at school. She really looks forward to it – and I look forward to not making another sandwich!

M&M Meat Shops has endless meal ideas. Browse the site and see for yourself. I love that the website offers complimentary products, and the in-store staff are most helpful for suggesting dishes as well.
And, make sure to pick up that weekly flier and try something new for your family or for your guests.
I did, and was not disappointed!

Oh we love M&M. Easily I would start with some of their boneless skinless chicken breasts which are by far the best frozen ones out there. And then maybe on the side some vegetable supreme mix and crispy fries (which are super awesome crunchy). And their peanut butter ice cream is wonderful, wonderful for dessert.

After looking through the website I was impressed with all their is but also that the nutritional information is listed and there is a healthy section. So after checking things out and trying to keep it simple and yet healthy I would choose

Lemon herbed chicken breast but the bacon wrapped turkey is tempting!
Peaches and cream corn
and the mashed potatoes

The veggi burgers is a must try as well!
