Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog!

I got to really ‘know’ Playhouse Disney when my oldest daughter was born, almost 6 years ago. As a Mom, Playhouse Disney is one of my preferred choice of programming for my kids. I can trust in the quality and content, I know that it’s a ‘safe’ choice of viewing for the girls – suitable for all ages. Not only can they smile, laugh and sing along to the classic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Tigger and Pooh and all their friends – but the newer shows have proved to be hits with children as well. And, just like my opening song to this post, I have become just as familiar with the shows as my kids have. I fully admit to singing and dancing around the house to Johnny and the Sprites, Handy Mandy, Imagination Movers, Franny’s Feet and Harry and His Bucketful of Dinosaurs {to name just a few of the fantastic programs}. It’s surreal to think that my Twins enjoy the same characters as my daughter did 5 years ago, and even when I was young – over 30 years ago! TV is not on all the time in my home – yet when I have to get supper ready, put laundry away, have a conference call {etc} – I know that I can put on Playhouse Disney and walk out of the room and not worry about what my kids are viewing.

Playhouse Disney Canada also has a wonderful website {which I have actually talked about before on My Organized Chaos}, which is also completely kid-friendly and ad free. It’s one of only 2 websites that I allow my daughter access to. Not only are the games, activities and videos educational and fun for her – but she’s learning valuable computer skills as well. Best of all, it’s free! No subscription required! But, if you do subscribe to the newsletter, you’ll get the latest Playhouse Disney news, along with information new shows, activities and contests. It’s definitely worth subscribing!
