I am in the process of trying to potty train my Twin Toddlers. The initial task is to educate and teach them what it is I’d like them to do. But, they do tend to tune out their Mom’s “blah, blah blah’s”, so a little help is needed to make it more fun and exciting. And, who better then to come to my rescue than Elmo! We received the Elmo’s Potty Time DVD from Sesame Street.

Elmo’s Potty Time features a baby Elmo, and if you think the ‘big Elmo’ is cute – you need to see this little one! My girls immediately took note, and not just because they are huge ‘Amo’ {Elmo} fans. This entire DVD is packed with lively music and dancing – all in the name to teach how fun it can be to use the potty. From a parent’s standpoint – it can be pretty silly. For example, I couldn’t help but to chuckle at all the names for ‘doing the business’ – Elmo calls it “wee wee” and “woo woo”. Yet, it’s part of fulfilling kids’ curiosity and explaining things in kid-terms. My reasoning, if parents everywhere make ‘choo-choo’ sounds in order to get kids to open their mouths and eat – great results can come out of a little potty song! With my girls, the mention of sitting on the potty has had them running in opposite directions screaming, “No”. Yet, I must admit that after watching Elmo’s Potty Time, they are asking to sit on the potty. They haven’t actually had ‘success’ with their training thus far, yet I do believe that this DVD convinced them to give it a try. Pretty effective in my books! To any parent, I would suggest giving this DVD further consideration – it may be just the thing to help with your childs’ potty training. Thanks ‘Amo’!
Potty Time with Elmo can be purchased from the Sesame Street Store and I even seen it for sale at our local Chapters store.

That looks like a great one! My friend’s in the middle of potty training her little one. I’ll have to let her know about this because her daughter LOVES Elmo!
Both of my son’s loved this flick! The only thing I had problems with, with my oldest is that he kept referring to potty terms as the only baby bear uses in the movie. That made it hard for the grandparents to understand what he was saying.
