Zuvo Water Filtration System | Review and Giveaway

www.myorganizedchaos.net,

www.myorganizedchaos.net,I think most people prefer not to drink water from their kitchen sink. Regardless of time of year, mine just doesn’t taste right. We have a water cooler in the house, yet I have realized that it’s actually quite expensive to own {filters, cleaning, refills on the water containers}. As well, I have been really trying to maximize space in our house, and my water cooler takes up a ton of room that I could use. Another thought is the safety aspect. I often think of how easy it would be for the Twins to tip the cooler, and all the damage that much water would do to our house. So, when offered the opportunity to review the Zuvo Water Filtration System, I was really excited. After reading up on the product, I thought it was the perfect solution for our household

What it is:

Zuvo Water Filtration system is a water purator that attaches to the kitchen faucet. It comes in two models, an above the sink model and one that goes under the sink {hidden from view}

How it Works:

Above Counter

Step 1: Ozonation

In nature, ozone is generated by lightning and cleans the air where rainwater forms. The Zuvo Water Purator mixes ozone with incoming tap water to treat taste and odor contaminants and improve taste. Like chlorine, ozone is a powerful oxidizer. Unlike chlorine, ozone leaves no chemical residue.

Above Counter

Step 2: Ultraviolet Light

The ozone saturated water is flooded with high-intensity UV light – the same as the solar energy that cleans water in the upper atmosphere.

Above  Counter

Step 3: Photo-oxidation

The Zuvo Water Purator combines UV and ozone in a patented process known as photo-oxidation which releases powerful oxidizers to further treat the water

Above Counter

Step 4: filtration with lead removal

Pure spring water is created by passing through fine particles in the earth. Zuvo uses the same principle by passing water through a Class 1 Particulate Reduction Filter, reducing chlorine taste and odor, lead, and tiny particulates.

Above Counter

Step 5: post-filtration UV

The filtered water is again exposed to high-intensity UV light as it leaves the Zuvo Water Purator, ensuring that you get clean, healthy, great tasting water…just the way nature intended!

www.myorganizedchaos.net,My tap water has changed drastically since I started using the Zuvo Water Filtration System. Not only is tap water clear, but it’s really fresh in taste. I am very surprised that my own tap water was changed so much, I love it. And, it’s easy to turn on and off for when you want the pure water – or when you are cleaning dishes. I got the above counter model, and just to clear the countertop and make space – I would have preferred the below counter model {Yet, that model requires the Zuvo faucet}. In the end, I very much like drinking the tap water thanks to the Zuvo Water Filtration System, so I have grown used to the system sitting beside the sink. Hey, it’s better than the huge coolr taking up much more space in my kitchen area! Plus, it’s actually a wonderful reminder to drink more water! The Zuvo Water Filtration System retails for $299.99, and requires a filter change every 6 months {filters are about $29}. Now, I totalled the cost and ‘upkeep’ of my current cooler and realized that for years we have been paying 40% more per year for our current cooler, than if we had initially purchased one of these. Since I am not one to purchase products like these and then replace it a years time – the Zuvo is a frugal purchase when you think of the long-term cost. Plus, the System does come with one replacement filter, and there are coupons if you need them, on the Zuvo website.

Here are more comparison prices, which I thought was interesting:

One lucky winner will receive a Zuvo {above Counter} Water Purator {ARV $300}

I learned that we use 47 million gallons of oil each year just to produce plastic water bottles. The Zuvo Water Purator uses two filters each year and even helps recycle them.

I learned:

Will the UV lamp hurt my eyes or skin?

No. Under normal use, the UV energy from the lamp is absorbed by water in the Zuvo Purator and by the materials of the treatment chamber. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions when replacing the UV lamp.
