Dip into Summer with the New French’s Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce‏

Sometimes as a parent, we need to use our cleverest tactics in order to get kids to eat their food. Maybe your trick is to cut the food into fun shapes? Sounds great, but that doesn’t impress my kids at all. As a Mom, I have tried a different ways to entice my kids to eat their foods, but it always comes down to what is ON that food. I’m talking about sauces. When the Twins got to a very picky stage in their eating, I could not get a meat product into them, so I brought out a fun dipping sauce {as in, the red tomato stuff!}. That lasted a while, but then it got ‘old’ to them. Not to mention, they have a sensitivity to tomatos, and if they eat too many, it doesn’t agree with their tummies. So, out of desperation – I was back to square one. I got some of the French’s new Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce to review, at just the right time in my search for a new sauce for them.

French’s new Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce is made with real honey and #1 grade mustard seeds. Even though us parents love French’s Mustard, it’s a tangier taste that my 5 year old has just started to like, yet one that the Twins won’t touch. Since their palates are more likely to ingest ‘sweet’ tastes right now, they really have taken a liking to French’s Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce, becasue it’s sweet. Personally, I really like the taste, since I’d compare it to a honey mustard that you’d get at a restaurant. You know, the ones that you ask for another, so you can take one home? Wait, is that just me? French’s Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce is tasty, smooth and creamy. And, it’s nice to switch up the routine for the new season, don’t you think? We have enjoyed ours with fresh vegetables, chicken fingers and even as a dressing on our salads.

One recipe I found at the French’s website is the
TANGY RANCH GRILLED CHICKEN.
I printed the recipe, and am going to make it this week:

Ingredients:
2/3 cup Ranch dressing
1/3 cup FRENCH’S® Classic Yellow® Mustard
3 tbsp. brown sugar
4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts

Directions:
MIX salad dressing, mustard and sugar. Pour 2/3 cup sauce over chicken.
MARINATE chicken in refrigerator for 30 min.
GRILL or broil chicken 10 to 15 min. until done. Serve chicken with remaining mustard sauce.
