Effective and Safe Natural Products for your Spring Cleaning!

Gloves Off Disinfectant and cleanerCleaning. It’s a loaded word, isn’t it? We all want clean surroundings, yet we also want cleaning products that do a great and lasting job, without having to use a ton of cleaning accessories and sweat-producing scrubbing. If you are like me, you have tried many brands, not settling on just one that you can rely on. To me, It seems like all-in-one cleaners just don’t cut it when it comes to being completely all-purpose. Gloves Off Disinfectant & Cleaner is an all natural, non-toxic formula that effectively eliminates bacteria, viruses and odour-causing germs – without any ammonia or bleach. Made with plant-based and biodegradable ingredients {including essential oils}, there are no harmful chemicals or toxins. And, Gloves Off Disinfectant & Cleaner is a Health Canada registered disinfectant, that kills 99.9% of germs.

Gloves Off Disinfectant & Cleaner is ideal for cleaning, disinfecting and deodorizing counter tops, sinks, cabinets, appliances, floors, showers, tubs, toilet bowls, garbage cans, diaper pails and pet areas. Since it’s a professional grade cleaner too, it works in your home as well as in hospitals, schools, commercial and industrial buildings, nursing homes, gyms, food manufacturing and preparation facilities, garbage and refuse facilities. According to the product description, it does seems like an all-purpose cleaner, so honestly I was expecting that the performance wouldn’t hold up to all dirty jobs. So, I gave it a really tough job the first time I used it. Candle Wax had spilled all over my kitchen counter, wood cabinets and onto my tile floor. Nice! I was immediately discouraged because I knew how hard it was to clean up candle wax. I recall the last time I spilled a candle {I told you before that I’m terribly clumsy}, it had spread everywhere – the wax just coated more surface, the more I wiped. I grabbed the Gloves Off Disinfectant & Cleaner, recalling it’s diverse list of duties. I sprayed it on the wax and took a dry cloth and wiped – the wax was completely gone in one sweep! No residue or spreading! Indeed I was impressed, both at the cleaning abilities, and the no-hassle scrubbing and wiping involved. Since then, I have cleaned bathrooms, counters, grease splatters and appliances with ease. Hubby, a self-proclaimed clean-freak loves the Gloves Off Disinfectant & Cleaner, using it constantly around the house {and I mean constantly!}.

Gloves Off Stain and paint removerFor tougher stains, I’ve been using the Gloves off Stain and Paint Remover. Since it’s a cleaner that tackles the hardest of stains - I don’t have to use it as often as the Disinfectant & Cleaner. Yet, I was able to try it on rust stains, and it worked very fast with very minimal scrubbing. Made of no harmful chemicals, the Stain and Paint Remover contains a “Dynamic Surface Tension Technology“, enabling it to penetrate deep into the biggest messes to help lift and remove even the most difficult stains. This one is intended for wood, laminated surfaces, hard plastics, rubber, metal, glass, brick, grout, fiberglass, clothing, upholstery and carpet. As you can see, this is a great cleaner for inside the home as well as outside. When the weather warms, I’ll be using this more on your outdoor furnature and toys that have sat in the elements for the last 7 months!

Concrobium Mold ControlTo combat household mold without the use of harsh chemicals, try the Concrobium Mold Control. It’s an all natural solution that kills mold and keeps it from coming back – without bleach, ammonia or VOCs. When other methods {including bleach} are used, mold can easily reappear. It works as the product dries, by hardening over the moldy surface to form an invisible film that physically crushes the mold micro-organism underneath. It then stays on the surface, providing continual resistance against mold regrowth. Research shows that 50% of homes have indoor mold, and the effects can range from itchy eyes and runny noses to serious respiratory ailments like asthma and sinusitis. Myself, I was at a loss on how to try out this product, since I don’t have household mold {that I know of…}. Yet a friend was renovating her new home and found some mold in her bathroom. I gave her the Concrobium Mold Control, and she said it effectively rid the mold from her bathroom, and kept the mold from re-appearing after it dried. And, there was no harsh smell or toxic fumes with use as well.

Hmmm . . . this is bad. I’ve lived in this house and we’ve never cleaned the outside windows! That tops our list. But, indoors, I need to do a power scrub of my window sills . . . yuck.

The job that I have to do , and dread…is my entire house !
No kidding , I have seen worse but I think it is pretty filthy. My vacuum broke and I haven’t been able to get another yet so the carpets are bad , and the rest…well I’m pretty sure the only thing that doesn’t need cleaning is the kitchen counter since I have to keep that clean daily so I can put food there !

So much cleaning, not enough time! This spring I need to clean the windows, inside and out, scrub the floors, wash basebaords, you know, all the fun stuff! I’m really curious to se if this product with help with our toilet bowl problem. Being on well water, we get nasty rust marks on the inside of our bowl and its a daily struggle to keep them shiny and white!

I’m dreading the back yard! We had a couple trees and branches fall, and couple that with a driveway that’s taking over half of what the yard should be and no grass…. It’s going to have all the qualities of a reno show!
