Mark You Calendars!!
This upcoming Saturday, May 8th, M&M Meat Shops will celebrate its 22nd annual Charity BBQ Day at more than 470 locations across Canada
{at every single M&M Meat Shops location in Canada}.
Franchisees and volunteers will be flipping burgers and hot dogs to reach this year’s goal of raising $2 million for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC)
in a single day.
For a mimimum donations of $2.50, you will receive a hamburger or hot dog, a drink and a bag of chips. For $2, you can cool down with a delicious M&M Meat Shops Strawberry Shortcake Bar or Crunchy Almond Bar {The Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite!} All food and time is donated, and every single penny raised goes directly to the Foundation.
Over the past 21 years, M&M Meat Shops has raised more than $18.3 million for medical research into inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). There are more than 200,000 Canadians suffering from IBD and there is no known cause or cure.
This year, M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day is being supported by Amanda Holmes, daughter of Canada’s Most Trusted Contractor {Mike Holmes} and sufferer of Crohn’s disease. Amanda was originally diagnosed with Crohn’s as a teenager. “My dad is an expert at home renovation and construction.” says Amanda. “But when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease even he didn’t have the tools to fix me. At this point, nobody does and that’s why both of us are proud to support the CCFC. M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ is an important way to raise funds and awareness for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.”
We are supposed to have decent weather this weekend, it’ll be a great excuse to get out, have some great grilled food and donate to charity!

i love supporting charities, I’ll have to do this with the kids on Saturday – maybe make a picnik out of it!
Thanks for the heads up!
