EA SPORTS Active More Workouts

I have decided that I’m going to make the change in my life, and I’m not waiting for a new years resolution. I am only a few pounds over what I was before having the twins, but my body looks no where near what it used to. And you’d think that I’d have more muscle carting around 2 babies all the time, but sadly that’s not the case {myth!}. The weight has distributed entirely to my midsection, a constant reminder that I did in fact have twins {in case I ever forgot} And, constantly trailing behind Twin toddlers all day is not a way to lose weight, despite what I was told before having them.

This change to reclaim my body and call it mine again is going to come with help from EA SPORTS Active More Workouts. Just getting a copy of it {for Wii} was enough to motivate and excite me. Yes, I did just say excite me. Before the twins, I was a person who used to love to workout and did it daily, sometimes twice a day. And, I honestly am excited to set into motion the goal of regaining the energy I once had {and fitting into that closet full of clothes that now look like a train wreck on myself}.

You see, before I used to hit the gym or do various aerobics, yoga and Pilate’s in my home. Now, there is no possibility of affording daily childcare to go to the gym. And, just the thought of blowing the dust off those videos kinda makes me ill. Like a movie that you’ve watching too many times, I know them too well for them to even be remotely enjoyable. Like a joke heard too many times, you soon can’t even fake a chuckle. EA SPORTS Active More Workouts is the latest in the lineup of virtual fitness products available for Wii.

At first glance of the setting of the workouts {an island paradise} I knew I was in love. You input your stats {yes, I mean your real weight too!} and your trainer takes you through your workouts. Ah, I finally get my own personal trainer! The workouts consist of the stretching, aerobic, weight training and cool down. I really like the focus on the abs in this program, as it’s certainly what I need the most. I have to admit, that first session kicked my butt, a lot! It didn’t seem like much at the time, but I could not even move the next day. Me trying to get out of bed was eerily like me getting out of bed when I was 8 months pregnant with Twins. Yep, it took a lot of thought, strain and many groans. Definitely a full body workout with this one! But, of course the pain resided and I kept at it.

I’m on Week 2 of my 6 week challenge and though I can’t muster up with courage to look at the scale, I have to admit I feel great! The EA SPORTS Active More Workouts motivated me to get started and challenges me in the exact way that I need. And, each time you use it, your trainer has different exercise for you, so there’s no boredom. And, it’s all planned so that you are getting a balanced workout each week. And, you can track your progress week by week and compare and modify your goals as well.

The EA SPORTS Active More Workouts includes a Special Edition Bob Greene Nutrition Best Life Book. It has valuable tips for creating a balanced lifestyle, has recipes from the Best Life Diet Cookbook, and has space for a daily journal too.

You do need a Nintendo Wii for the EA SPORTS Active More Workouts. I can 100% say that I am enjoying this program/game and would not trade it for all the cookies at Christmastime! Since it’s so personal to suit your goals and fitness level, newbies and pros alike will find it challenging. And, like all games for Wii, this can done alone or with the family too.
