There comes a time in every parents' life when they have to start marking their kids' stuff. I have already lost so many articles of clothing and supplies, and Isabelle hasn't even started school yet! So, what do you use? Marker? Tape? Well, marker washes off and ruins clothing. And tape falls off. Oliver's Labels is a company that makes labels in great kid-themed designs suited for all your labelling needs. And I say ALL, because there really is so many!
Want the ordinary sticker type? Look to the Original Labels. These are a great size, perfect for cups, books, toys and lunch boxes to name a few. I think these are ideal for school and daycare items.Mini Labels are great for tinier objects such as pencils, toothbrushes, spoons and small toys. These would be great for school supplies or marking items sent with the kids to camp.
You can probably guess what the Shoe Labels are for, no explanation needed from me! Isabelle has outdoor shoes and boots, school shoes, dance shoes, party shoes - and when not on her feet, most of these are in pile of dozens of other kids' shoes. How many people have left a party and accidentally put on some other kids' shoes?Laurie's Labels are made for parents or the older child, and come in more non-kid designs. These would be wonderful for your gym shoes, cell phone and laptop.
Oliver's Labels also have Iron-On Labels for clothes and Bag Tags as well. Gotta mark that backpack!! And, the winter coats, hats, mitts, scarfs, boots....phew. So glad someone is protecting our belongings!
You can buy each type of labels separately or in sets such as the starter and school packages. Seems like Oliver's Labels have thought of everything!
BUT WAIT....THESE ARE NO ORDINARY LABELS!!! (now I know why infomercial people get so very excited, I feel like them right now myself!)
How may times have you backtracked, looking everywhere searching for a lost item? Scouring through lost and found bins?Oliver's Labels come with the most fantastic feature!!!

A free online lost and found system, each label has the Oliver's Labels website address and your code. 'We then match you to your Found-it™ tracking system code and send you a notification email right away. Oliver’s Labels acts as an intermediary between you and th
e finder so you never have to share any of your personal information!'I think this is the most fantastic feature, it takes labelling your items that extra step farther.
Oliver's Labels sent me some Laurie's Labels for myself and a variety of labels for Isabelle. There are some important qualities of the labels that I think you should know. They are 'Waterproof, weather-proof, scuff-proof, tear-resistant, high-performance vinyl with super-strong adhesive and high quality, full-color printing. Made to be long-lasting in a huge range of environments.' These labels are going to stick and stay for as long as you own the item! They won't wear off, wash off or fall off. Isabelle starts kindergarten this fall, and her stuff will be marked and well protected with Oliver's Labels. Great for kids and parents alike, definitely a must-have for 2009!
WIN IT: Oliver's Labels wants to mark and protect some of your stuff! They want to send one My Organized Chaos reader a $20 gift certificate to their store!

My favourite is the original set with the fantasy design!!
I'm going to say the original labels (because they can be so versatile) and I'll go with the fantasy design which would be so cute for my girls (though I'd pick the sports theme for my son;) )

This is wonderful! We could really use the mini-labels. With all our kids, it's hard to keep track of things like toothbrushes and other items that are almost identical.
